About Qutonya
  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: Know that God has given me a word that is to bless His people. It is NEVER about me, Always about the glory of GOD.
  • Sermon or series that made a difference: Faith, and Trusting God, not giving Up.
  • One of my favorite illustrations: When I use soap operas. Example: I tell them; You have Just One Life to Live,
  • Family: Married 17 Years, husband Robert H. Rogers Jr. 2 children/ 4 bonus children, a total of 6 children together, 5 living 1 deceased. We have 24 grandchildren, 1 deceased 4 1/2 great-grandchildren, I am the next to the youngest of 7 children, on my father's side, I am the youngest on my mother's side who only has 3 children. Both of my parents are deceased.
  • What my parents think of my sermons: I am sorry to say, that I will not get to ask them until I get on the other side. They have both gotten their wings before I was called into the ministry.
  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: He feels that I am growing, and getting better, that I should put more oomph into it.
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: It came from my older sister when she said that she already knew that I was going to be a preacher, and Ishe was glad to see my trial, and to see my growth, to continue to let God use me and I will be just fine.
  • Books that have had an impact: Bible, Woman Thou Art Loosed, By T.D. Jakes, Power of a Praying Wife, by Stormie Omartian, Bait of Satan, by John Bevere, Heirs Together, By Mac Hammond, For Married women, and For married men only by Tony Evans, Woman after God's Own Heart, 12 Essential Skills for Great Preaching, by Wayne McDill, A divine revelation of Hell by Mary K. Baxter, When I'm On My Knees by Anita Corrine Donihue
  • Hobbies: I enjoy spending time with my family. I am very blessed to be close to my husband's family, we are not in-laws, we are family, siblings, we spend as much time together as possible, as well as my children and family. I enjoy, reading, and writing, journaling. I am currently in school and fulfilling my dream of getting my college degree.
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: Trust In The Lord; This Is Not The Time Time To Give Up On Him Now.
  • Something funny that happened while preaching: My skirt button popped loose and I didn't know if my skirt was going to fall down before I finished my sermon, but I just kept on preaching, because I was in the heat of my sermon.
  • What I want on my tombstone: A loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Servant of God
