• Education: I graduated from Dayspring Ministries Bible and Theological Seminary and I am certified through the American Baptist Associations Certificate in Ministry program.
• Experience: I served as an Elder for four years, then as Interim Pastor at the First Baptist Church from 2004 - 2006. Since then, I have served as the Senior Pastor at The House of Faith Church. A beautiful non-denominational church in Northern Michigan where I continue to serve today.
• Comment to those looking at my sermons: Don’t just take my sermons at face value or anyone else's. Search the word, cross reference, and seek for yourself. These sermons are for reference and in no way replace true study. We each must study to show ourselves approved!
• Sermon or series that made a difference: I’m not sure. I have heard so many sermons it would be very difficult to say which individual made the most significant impact on my life. I love Spurgeon, though.
• One of my favorite illustrations: My wife and I had prayed for God to increase her faith in trusting Him about her finances by any means He needed. A few days later, her purse was stolen from a local theater with all her checkbooks and credit cards. She immediately exercised her faith in its return in an unharmed condition. Later that evening, it was found with all of its contents untouched.
• Family: My wife and I have six children and six grandchildren! (Praise God!) Lori, Jennifer, Kelly, Eric and Trenton, and Rebekah. Our grandchildren are Austin, Elana, Aiden, Isaac, Leah, and, most recently, Isabella. We are very blessed.
• What my parents think of my sermons: My mother enjoys them a lot. My father passed away years ago and never had the opportunity to hear me preach.
• What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: She enjoys them quite a bit. I sometimes feel like there is so much to try and fit into so little time. I always feel like I could have said more, or afterward, more verses will come into my mind I could have used. But she tells me exactly what she feels about them to help me keep it short and to the point.
• Best advice given to me about preaching: Stick to the scripture in instruction, and relate it to your life experience for illustration. Then it will truly be a sermon from your heart.
• Books that have had an impact: "So what’s the difference" by Fritz Ridenour. This book is a wonderful reference for those interested in finding out the difference between what God wants us to believe and what some of the other major religions out there believe.
• Hobbies: I spend most of my time serving the church as well as serving as vice president of the Iosco Ministerial Association. However, I am also an author of many faith-based and wholesome science fiction novels.
• If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: God loves you so much and wants to be with you that He died for YOUR sins so that you may be forgiven and spend eternity with Him!
• Something funny that happened while preaching: Trust me. You had to be there!
• What I want on my tombstone: Don’t laugh. You’re next!
