  • Sermon or series that made a difference: Still looking for the one which can advance my worship.
  • One of my favorite illustrations: Pen pals meeting after a good corrosponding for a long time. To meet in person, she was to be recognized as the one with the RED ROSE!
  • Family: I entered the ministry after retiring from the U.S. Air Force as a pilot. My wife, Julie, is a registered nurse and works part time. Our son, John, lives in South Carolina and with his wife, Karen, and six children. Our daughter, Kristen, currently reside in Virginia with their three children. Her husband, Travis, is a Major in the U.S.ARMY.
  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: Although we’ve talked about it, she would rather not be my source of critique. At times, she indicates my evening sermons (for the congregation) should have been delivered in the morning time (AM sermons are more seeker friendly.)
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: "oh yeah, so what?" as questions to be asked about each sermon.
  • Books that have had an impact: So many have been a positive influence. One of the best, devotionally, was "ROOM OF MARVELS" by James Bryan Smith
  • Hobbies: Fishing Reading Golf
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: Trust In Christ every day. Learn to love Him, be obedient to serve Him with your distinct personality.
  • What I want on my tombstone: God's Work LIVES on.
