About David
  • Education: M.Div. Chaplaincy B.A. in Psychology A.A.S. in Military Information Studies
  • Experience: Pastor Chaplain Teacher
  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: I like to help my Soldiers and those in the churches I preach at relate the Bible to modern life. I love stories and examples, but only work them in when it is practical and does not detract from the text.
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: No matter what, clearly present the message of salvation and allow those in attendance the opportunity to respond. You may never speak with them again in your lifetime, or theirs! - From my father, who was also a pastor.

  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: Jesus Christ, God's only and perfect Son came to this earth, lived a perfect life, and then died on the cross for our sins. Since He was the only one who ever lived a perfect life, He was the only one who could die for our sins. After He died on the cross to pay for our sins so that we could be forgiven, three days later, He raised from the dead to prove that He was more powerful than Sin and more powerful than death, itself! All we have to do to know for sure that we are going to Heaven when we die is to believe that because of what Jesus Christ did for us, He is the only way to get to Heaven and ask Him to forgive us of our sins. If you don't know how, just talk to God by praying a prayer something like this. "Dear Lord, I know that I'm a sinner and that I've done things wrong and I cannot get myself to Heaven. Please forgive me of my sins and allow me to live in Heaven with you someday when I die. In Jesus Name, Amen." It is that simple.
