  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: Every time I enter the pulpit I realize how unworthy I am. I pray as the congregation concludes the sermon hymn. My prayer concludes, "May I decrease before those who hear that You may increase."

  • Family: Nancy, my wife, friend and companion is finishing up her Masters Degree in education (with a 4.0 average ;-) and has been hired to work special education within the Fairmont Public School system. My oldest son, Matthew, is pursuing his doctorate in Old Testiment as his wife, Sally, works as an RN at Childrens Hospital in the Twin Cities. My son Tim is finishing up his Masters Degree in Education and will be teaching. Luke is a pre-seminary student at Concordia University, Mequon. Bethany is attending SDSU anticipating a degree in psychology. Youngest daughter, Kristen, is an excellent vocalist attending public school in Fairmont. Tobby is our dog and Keats our cat. We are a happy family ;-)
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: It must reach the core of those who hear the Word preached... not show and pomp, but depth drilling.
