About Apostle Dr. Ruben L.
  • Education: BS Biblical Studies Masters Christian Education PhD. Christian Education
  • Experience: I have been in ministry for over 40 years, serving as a Church Planter, Apostolic Father, Educator, and College Professor. Throughout my journey, I’ve had the privilege of leading and mentoring others in the faith, planting churches, and helping to establish strong, Kingdom-focused communities. As the Chief Apostle and Pastor of Greater Dimensions Tabernacle of Faith Church, I oversee the mission of preaching the Gospel, nurturing believers, and preparing the Body of Christ for His return. I’m also passionate about teaching, both in the church and in academic settings, where I equip others with biblical and theological knowledge.
  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: To all who read my sermons, I want to remind you that the words are meant to inspire and transform, not just inform. Approach each sermon with an open heart, and allow the Holy Spirit to guide you into deeper understanding. My hope is that these sermons help you grow in faith and challenge you to pursue a closer relationship with God.
  • Sermon or series that made a difference: One sermon series that made a profound difference in my life was on the topic of Sonship and Maturity in Christ. This series focused on the stages of spiritual growth, moving from infancy in faith to full maturity, emphasizing our identity as sons and daughters of God. It reshaped my understanding of what it means to walk in the authority and responsibility God has given us as believers.
  • One of my favorite illustrations: Once, while delivering a particularly fiery sermon, I got so caught up in the message that I accidentally knocked over the pulpit microphone. The congregation laughed, and it lightened the atmosphere, reminding me not to take myself too seriously and always remain humble before the Lord.
  • Family: When it comes to family, they are my greatest support system and source of strength. My wife, Apostle Dr. Belinda Broadnax, and my daughter, Nakela Broadnax, and I share a passion for ministry and serving God’s people together. My family plays a significant role in everything I do, and we are committed to building the Kingdom of God as a unit.
  • What my parents think of my sermons: My parents have always supported my calling and ministry. They see my sermons as a reflection of the passion and commitment I have for God’s Word, and they appreciate how I strive to convey biblical truths with clarity and conviction.
  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: My spouse, Apostle Dr. Belinda Broadnax, is my biggest supporter and always gives me honest feedback. She appreciates the depth and clarity of my messages, often saying, "You break it down in a way that brings revelation, but you always bring it back to practical application."
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: The best advice I’ve ever received is, “Preach the Word, not to impress, but to transform.” This keeps me grounded in the purpose of ministry, which is to lead people to Jesus and help them grow in their walk with God.
  • Books that have had an impact: Some of the books that have deeply impacted my life include Rediscovering the Kingdom by Myles Munroe, The Bible in its entirety, and The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren. Each of these books has opened my eyes to deeper spiritual truths, encouraging me to live purposefully and in alignment with God's Kingdom.
  • Hobbies: As for hobbies, I enjoy reading, particularly books that deepen my understanding of theology and leadership. I also love technology and spend time working on web development projects, which allow me to combine my passion for ministry with my technical skills.
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: "Live every day with the end in mind. Our time on this earth is temporary, but the decisions we make here echo in eternity. Choose Christ, live for Him, and be the light in a world growing dimmer by the day. Love without condition, serve without expectation, and walk in the fullness of the calling God has placed on your life. The Kingdom of God is within you—seek it first, and everything else will fall into place. Your life matters, your choices matter, and you are here for such a time as this. So, run your race with endurance, keeping your eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith. Be ready at all times for His return, and make sure that when you leave this world, you leave empty—having poured out everything God placed in you for His glory. Remember, it’s not how you start, but how you finish that counts. Stay faithful to the end!"
  • Something funny that happened while preaching: Once, while delivering a particularly fiery sermon, I got so caught up in the message that I accidentally knocked over the pulpit microphone. The congregation laughed, and it lightened the atmosphere, reminding me not to take myself too seriously and always remain humble before the Lord.
  • What I want on my tombstone: "Faithfully Preached the Gospel of the Kingdom." This reflects my life’s mission—to declare God's Word and help others experience the fullness of His Kingdom.
