Hermeneutics and Integrity in Preaching
Dean Shriver obtained his M.Div. from Western Seminary and his D.Min. at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (under the direction of Dr. Haddon Robinson). Dr. Shriver is the founding pastor of Intermountain Baptist Church in Salt Lake City, Utah where he has ministered for 20 years. Dr. Shriver lives in South Jordan, Utah with his wife Nancy and their three children.
Dean is the author of The Power of Integrity in Preaching (originally published by Baker Books under the title Nobody’s Perfect but You Have to Be). It’s a highly recommended book and can be obtained in eBook format from SermonCentral’s Preaching Excellence Resource page.
Church Research
Ed Stetzer is author of Breaking the Missional Code, Comeback Churches and Planting Missional Churches.
Ed has planted churches in New York, Pennsylvania, and Georgia. He has trained pastors and church planters on five continents, holds two masters degrees and two doctorates, and has written dozens of articles and books. He currently serves as the Director of LifeWay Research. He is married to Donna and they have three daughters.
Youth and Evangelism
Greg Stier is the founder and president of Dare 2 Share Ministries (D2S) based in Denver, Colorado. Over the last decade, Greg has impacted the lives of hundreds of thousands of Christian teenagers across the country through Dare 2 Share training conferences. Greg has spoken at many national and international youth events. He is also the author of several books, including Dare 2 Share, Outbreak, and Ministry Mutiny. He and his wife, Debbie, and their children, Jeremy and Kailey, live in Arvada, Colorado.
Apologetics and Prayer
As a speaker, writer, and advocate for Christian apologetics, Alex McFarland has appeared in hundreds of locations throughout the US. For over six years, Alex has been the Friday host of “Truth Talk Live,” a Christian call-in radio program heard in numerous parts of the nation. Alex also served as Focus On The Family’s director of Teen Apologetics. He is currently the President of Southern Evangelical Seminary in Charlotte, North Carolina. Alex enjoys spending time with his wife Angie, reading, and playing the guitar.
Church Leadership and Revitalization
Dr. Malphurs planted his first church in 1972. He has also pastored two churches in Dallas, Texas, while teaching at Dallas Seminary. In 1997, he stopped pastoring to fully devote his time to his professorship and his ministry, The Malphurs Group, guiding churches through the strategic planning and revitalization process. Aubrey has ministered with CAM International, Christian Associates International and World Harvest Outreach, both in the US and in foreign countries, such as Russia, Finland, Latvia, Germany, Holland, Switzerland and France.
Site Vision and Standards
Ron Forseth (M.A.) is the General Editor of SermonCentral.com. He studied for two years with Wycliffe Bible Translators’ Summer Institute of Linguistics and for eight years was involved in Christian service in China and Mongolia. He was instrumental in the founding of the Mongolian Bible Translation Committee. Ron also served as a College Pastor and for seven years worked in campus ministry and church planting. He is also Vice President of Outreach, Inc., an organization dedicated to inviting and connecting every person in America to a Bible-believing church so that they might have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Ron has a passion for sharing Christ and to see all people of the world offered the opportunity to call upon the name of Jesus. He lives with his wife Carol and their two teenage children, Rachel and Randy, in Vista, California.
