3. mean, think, use similitudes

Lovingkindness or "chesed" in Hebrew which means: kindness, piety, favor, good deed, mercy, pity

Psalms 26:3 (Amplified Bible)

26:3 For Your loving-kindness is before my eyes, and I have walked in Your truth [faithfully].

Psalms 77:10-11 (Amplified Bible)

77:10 And I say, This [apparent desertion of Israel by God] is my appointed lot and trial, but I will recall the years of the right hand of the Most High [in loving-kindness extended toward us], for this is my grief, that the right hand of the Most High changes.

77:11 I will [earnestly] recall the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will [earnestly] remember the wonders [You performed for our fathers] of old.

Our thoughts is a gift from GOD. It's one powerful device within our bodies that can make or destroy us. If our thoughts is on earthly things, these will destroy us.

Colossians 3:2 (Amplified Bible)

3:2 And set your minds and keep them set on what is above (the higher things), not on the things that are on the earth.

Colossians 3:5 (Amplified Bible)

3:5 So kill (deaden, deprive of power) the evil desire lurking in your members [those animal impulses and all that is earthly in you that is employed in sin]: sexual vice, impurity, sensual appetites, unholy desires, and all greed and covetousness, for that is idolatry (the deifying of self and other created things instead of God).

So keep our thoughts focused on JESUS.

Deuteronomy 8:18 (Amplified Bible)

8:18 But you shall [earnestly] remember the Lord your God, for it is He Who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.

Hebrews 12:2 (Amplified Bible)

12:2 Looking away [from all that will distract] to Jesus, Who is the Leader and the Source of our faith [giving the first incentive for our belief] and is also its Finisher [bringing it to maturity and perfection]. He, for the joy [of obtaining the prize] that was set before Him, endured the cross, despising and ignoring the shame, and is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

The mind is the battleground of the enemy, the enemy makes you think something else, he will insert abominable things in your thoughts. So don't give way to the devil, suppressed these kind of thoughts and bring it to submission to JESUS.

Ephesians 4:27 (Amplified Bible)

4:27 Leave no [such] room or foothold for the devil [give no opportunity to him].

2 Corinthians 10:5 (Amplified Bible)

10:5 [Inasmuch as we] refute arguments and theories and reasonings and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God; and we lead every thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One),

Psalms 105:5-6 (Amplified Bible)

105:5 [Earnestly] remember the marvelous deeds that He has done, His miracles and wonders, the judgments and sentences which He pronounced [upon His enemies, as in Egypt].

105:6 O you offspring of Abraham His servant, you children of Jacob, His chosen ones,

Psalms 78:43-51 (Amplified Bible)

78:43 How He wrought His miracles in Egypt and His wonders in the field of Zoan [where Pharaoh resided]

78:44 And turned their rivers into blood, and their streams, so that they could not drink from them.

78:45 He sent swarms of [venomous] flies among them which devoured them, and frogs which destroyed them.

78:46 He gave also their crops to the caterpillar and [the fruit of] their labor to the locust.
