The LORD GOD in His Divine Mercy and Omniscience knows that even the LORD JESUS will have enemies, so does Abraham and us as His children. That's why GOD has promised in Genesis 22:17 that our LORD JESUS CHRIST will possess the gate of His enemies to give to us.

Genesis 22:17 (Amplified Bible)

22:17 In blessing I will bless you and in multiplying I will multiply your descendants like the stars of the heavens and like the sand on the seashore. And your Seed (Heir) will possess the gate of His enemies,

VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. What GOD does to His enemies in the Old Testament:

1. He will possess the gate of His enemies

Genesis 22:17 (Amplified Bible)

22:17 In blessing I will bless you and in multiplying I will multiply your descendants like the stars of the heavens and like the sand on the seashore. And your Seed (Heir) will possess the gate of His enemies,

2. GOD will dash to pieces His enemies

Exodus 15:6 (Amplified Bible)

15:6 Your right hand, O Lord, is glorious in power; Your right hand, O Lord, shatters the enemy.

3. GOD will make our enemies His enemies

Exodus 23:22 (Amplified Bible)

23:22 But if you will indeed listen to and obey His voice and all that I speak, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries.

4. GOD will kill His enemies

Deuteronomy 32:42 (Amplified Bible)

32:42 I will make My arrows drunk with blood, and My sword shall devour flesh, with the blood of the slain and the captives, from the long-haired heads of the foe.

5. GOD drives away His enemies

Deuteronomy 33:27 (Amplified Bible)

33:27 The eternal God is your refuge and dwelling place, and underneath are the everlasting arms; He drove the enemy before you and thrust them out, saying, Destroy!

B. What GOD does to His enemies in the New Testament:

1. GOD puts His enemies under His feet. If CHRIST is the Head and we are the Church, then the feet is in the Church, so GOD's enemies are under our feet.

Matthew 22:44 (Amplified Bible)

22:44 The Lord said to My Lord, Sit at My right hand until I put Your enemies under Your feet?

1 Corinthians 15:25-26 (Amplified Bible)

15:25 For [Christ] must be King and reign until He has put all [His] enemies under His feet.

15:26 The last enemy to be subdued and abolished is death.

2. GOD has given us power to trample down His enemies

Luke 10:19 (Amplified Bible)

10:19 Behold! I have given you authority and power to trample upon serpents and scorpions, and [physical and mental strength and ability] over all the power that the enemy [possesses]; and nothing shall in any way harm you.

3. JESUS, GOD, the Son dies for His enemies

Romans 5:10 (Amplified Bible)

5:10 For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, it is much more [certain], now that we are reconciled, that we shall be saved (daily delivered from sin’s dominion) through His [resurrection] life.

C. What GOD does to our enemies:

1. GOD will deliver and save us from our enemies

Luke 1:71 (Amplified Bible)

1:71 That we should have deliverance and be saved from our enemies and from the hand of all who detest and pursue us with hatred;
