Summary: Do not go by what you see for the invisible God may be doing far more than you can imagine!

2 Thessalonians 2:7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

Some morning thoughts on "Why doesn't God do something?". How do you know He isn't doing something? We are living in a sin cursed world. What we see is the result of that.

Destructive weather patterns did not exist until after the Fall and actually not until after the Flood. Earthquakes are part of a world dying and falling apart.

Evil men are getting worse and worse as part of a devolution that started when man started to die and got further and further away from God.

Why should God do anything positive for a creation that rejects Him and denies Him? The earth and man are under a death sentence. Why not just let man suffer from his own wickedness? After all, man cannot keep ten simple commandments and everything God states that will make life on death row much better we rewrite, justify why what He said is not right and then blame the consequences of our ignoring Him on Him. When He does something we reject it or explain it away taking away the credit from Him.

People survive in terrible tragedies that should have no way survived and we write it off as luck. People get prayers answered and we call it coincidence. People experience a radical, instantaneous transformation in their lives and we call it reformation when there was no practicing of resolutions and even resistance against change until the moment the change happened overcoming addictions that could not be overcome before by effort or human intervention.

Paul says that the Holy Spirit letteth or holds down and when that role ends with the Rapture then mankind will see the full and unrestrained results of sin and rebellion against God. If you think things are horrible now the world has not seen anything yet.

It will be absolutely mind blowing when God reveals how much He did interact with each of us and the world mitigating the chaos and destruction that could have been. When we see how many times we might have died and gone to Hell, but He gave us another opportunity to repent, believe and be saved,. We will see how many more could have been killed under Hitler, Stalin, Mao and ISIS had He not intervened. And yes, we will even see how He intervened in mercy when a loved one died that we prayed would live knowing what worse thing would come upon them had the person lived.

The real question is why is He doing anything for wicked people who hate Him and His children who do not follow Him completely? Because He loves them and not willing any should perish and in His wrath against sin He is showing mercy. Submit to His omniscience and know that the Judge of all the earth does and will do right for He is righteous. He is worthy of that trust! Amen and amen! Maranatha!!!
