Why People Are Choosing Hell

Summary: According to the scriptures many people are choosing the broad way that leads to eternal death. There is a reason for why people are making such a choice.
Why People are Choosing Hell
Isaiah 5:8-23
There are six woes given in the verses of scriptures read this morning as a warning to those who have gone the way of evil.
Jesus spoke more of hell than heaven because of the urgency to warn the people of this dreadful place
Vs.14 Hell hath enlarged herself
See: Isaiah 66:24 Isaiah ends his prophecy with a picture of this dreadful place
Why is this statement made over 2700 years ago so true today?
1. The Falsehood of Religion
See: Isaiah 1:10-17 The worshipped the LORD in vain
Statistics tell us there are thousands of different religions in our world today!
There are billions of people today that are trusting in a ritual and their own righteousness trying to obtain spiritual favor with God.
Mention: matt. 15:14 They be blind leaders of the blind, and if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch
The best a false religion can do for man is clean up the outside of the vessel he resides in!
2. The Failure to Witness and Warn

The world system is designed to lead people away from and not unto God!

5. The Fatal Choice of Man
George Barna: 78% of adults do not believe in a literal hell (52% just separation from God, 16% no after life) 32% of the adults in America believe in a literal hell

People are choosing hell a place with no laughter, light, or love!
