Why America Is In The MESS That It IS, And How Can We Fix It?

Everyone who is over 30 years old would agree America is in a mess. We have drugs on our streets; we have shootings in our schools, (Columbine HS). We have corruption in our Secret Service. And gangs have invaded our communities. OUR NATION IS IN A MESS! WHY?

The CORE answer is found in the degradation of our homes. We hardly HAVE homes anymore! In, 2005, the U.S. Census Bureau reported 4.85 MILLION cohabitating couples, up more than 1000% from 1960. A 2000 study found that MORE THAN HALF of newlyweds have slept together, before walking down the aisle. By and large, VIRGINITY has become the possession of a 0-10 year old girl!

The U.S. has about ONE MILLION divorces each year. Easy divorce laws and the loss of SHAME attached to divorce has opened the door to chaos and created the degradation of our homes.

There is now legislation in some states, (probably soon to be in ALL), that allow homosexual couples to “marry”. CATCH THIS AND MISS IT, A homosexual union is NOT a marriage. God made Adam and Eve NOT Adam and STEVE! (Genesis 1:27) “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.” (On the 27th verse of the ENTIRE Bible, at the VERY BEGINNING, when the “ink wasn’t even dry on the Earth’s BIRTH CERTIFICATE”, God created Man and woman.

(Genesis 2:24) “Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.” This created the FIRST HOME and it had a husband and it had a wife. There weren’t two wives or two husbands, just ONE OF EACH!

So, what is a good wife? (Proverbs 31:10-31), Gives us the blueprint for a good wife. A wife is also the most overworked, underpaid, unappreciated soul that God EVER gave breath to. She does more and gets credit for less than ANYBODY and nobody realizes how valuable a good wife is until she is SICK in bed or DIES, and is no longer there to do her job!

So, what is a good Husband? (Ephesians 5:23-25 + 1 Timothy 3:2 + Titus 1:6-9) gives us the blueprint for a good husband. Every verse that applies to the qualifications of an Elder or Bishop can ALSO apply to EVERY HUSBAND!

The children in a home deserve a faithful Mom and Dad. UNLESS YOU INTEND TO BRING UP A CHILD TO BE A CHRISTIAN AND A PRODUCTIVE CITIZEN, YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO BIRTH A CHILD! You are only creating another SINNER and CRIMINAL! Children NEED to be taught respect for others and respect for authority. (Ephesians 6:1-3) “Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise; that it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth. (How many children’s lives are lost due to DRUGS, SEX, and CRIME? How many girls walk the streets and prostitute themselves from a broken or unfit home?)

Fathers, we are to LEAD our children but not provoke our children. Wrath does not lead to knowledge and we are to bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. (Ephesians 6:4) America is in a mess because our children are in a mess. Good families have loyalty.

We need to turn off the TV, disconnect the internet and get back to OPEN Bible study. When the Apostle Paul wrote to the young preacher Timothy, he gave HIM good advice for us TOO! (2 Timothy 2:15) “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” Our homes are CRYING for lack of BIBLE STUDY! Our children NEED the foundations of a Christian home to fight against the wiles of the devil. (Eph 6:11) That foundation will be their armor when tempted to smoke, drink, curse, take drugs or engage in sexual activity! A teenager can say “God won’t let me do that, my body is pure and I want to keep it that way.” Do you NOW SEE that they HAVE GOD standing behind them for reinforcement! They’re not alone anymore facing a sin cursed world. If Solomon was the wisest man, (besides Christ) why don’t we listen to him? (Proverbs 22:6) “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

An ENTIRE article could be, and SHOULD BE written on PRAYER in our homes. We rarely say “grace” anymore and today’s bedtime prayers are “Now I lay me down to sleep.” This is pitiful! The Apostle Paul said “Pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17), we don’t even pray OCCASIONALLY!

In conclusion: America is in a mess because of our HOMES and will STAY in a MESS, until we FIX our Homes.
