"Who Let The Dogs Out”

Intro: Today Lord willing I come to share with you a message of warning to those that may be here, that have become indifferent. These are those that are no longer sheep, but dogs leaving the will of God in search of vainglory. Which causes me to ask, “Who let the dogs out.”

I. Now these dogs what does it take to become one?

A. In the Word of God the word dog is normally used as a metaphor or type of wicked or sinful person. This same type is used in describing those that helped in the crucifixion of Christ as found this prophecy in Psalms 22:16 For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.

B. In verse ten these dogs are described as being blind.

1. Now darkness is an attribute of blindness. Throughout scripture darkness has its connection to sin or evil. John 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

2. You were once in light but now in darkness. Calling the darkness you now see light. Luke 11:35 Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness.

3. You are convinced that your ways are right and that your thoughts are right. Those things, which you saw as darkness, are now light to you. You began to partake of the deeds of darkness as though they were light to you. You began to gain gratification from these things and ceased not to reprove them but partake of them. Ephesians 5:11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove [them].

4. You now have left the LIGHT JESUS CHRIST for DARKNESS, SIN, and SATAN. Satan has now clouded your mind with perversion. He now tells you that its not wrong to do these things no one will ever know. Isaiah 29:15 Woe unto them that seek deep to hide their counsel from the LORD, and their works are in the dark, and they say, Who seeth us? and who knoweth us?

C. With this blindness comes an ignorance of the truth. . Isaiah 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

1. Ephesians 4:18 Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:

2. Ignorance as described by Peter in 1 Peter 1:14 is a going back to the former things. A resurrection of the old man, you’re now trying to bring into your life the darkness of the past with the light of the present.

3. You are now what I call a “Burger King Christian”; you want it your way. Some where along the way Satan planted within you a seed of rebellion or maybe it is something you have had trouble with since you were saved. You always looking for a way to disagree with the Word of God or the man of God. You never fully embraced or trusted Christ, but left a small crumb trial back to sin.

4. You now think its possible to serve God and self at the same time. When in actuality you are serving God and Satan, but I must warn with these words of Christ, Matthew 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

II. With this blindness and ignorance of the things of God brings about slothfulness for the things of God. Which brings me to my next question “What does a dog do?”

A. Those things, which you hungered and thirst for no longer, fill you. Rather than the meat of righteousness you lust for the blood of iniquity.

1. Rather than getting up early to seek the face of God, you sleep in. Rather than reading your Bible for guidance and insight into those things of God you find yourself reading those “INSIGHT CHRISTIAN BOOKS” or not even bothering to read Godly books but worldly, your prayer time is no longer of praise and guidance, but a list of demands. Instead of being in Church you feel that watching it on devil vision I mean television is just the same.

2. Now when you do go to church you look for a reason not to go back. Praise and worship is replaced with gossip and backbiting.

3. When others talk to you, you try to get them own your side. Resulting in division.
