Who Knocked The Wall Down?

Verse 1-Securely Shut Up

I want you to thii* about some peoples lives maybe even your own, some walls that have been built up that keeps people from getting in, (Getting To Close, Keeping People At Distance) or from things getting out (They Show No Emotion, They Don’t Share What

They Feel, They Don’t want To Show Any Weakness).

The Devil wants nothing good going in and he wants nothing good coming out!

The Devil wants you and I so tightly shut up that nothing ever changes for the better!

The Devil wants to tightly shut up your mouth so you won’t sing out in the worship service.

The Devil wants to tightly shut up your heart so you won’t open yourself to the words of the hymns or the message!

Verse 2-See

See what? What you would have seen was a brick wall.

What does God ask him to see?

He wants them to see the power of God. He wants His people see with the eyes of faith. He wants His people to have faith in His power.

When you only see the problem, you worry, seeing things from God’s perspective is the way to replace worry with hope, with promise, with a victorious spirit!

Verse 3-Seven Days

God requirements were exact... .not one time, not two, not three, not four, but seven times!

Sometimes we give up on the plan before it’s finished or upon people before Me is through dealing with them!

Why do things like this?

March around Jericho seven times?

Number 1 Reason-A Warning

The world hears the loud trumpet call of the gospel warning them constantly of the danger they are in.

We need to be a reminder to the world around us that there is a God and we all have to answer to Him!

We should reflect that in our behavior, in our actions, in our speech, and in our daily life!

Because one day a trumpet will blow, seven trumpets actually, and the world has never seen such destruction!

Number 2 Reason-The Best Way To Do Things Is My Way.

God wants us to know that the best way to do things is His way. Even if it looks weird! Even if it’s hard to understand! Even if you don’t feel like doing it!

Love your enemies-Strange!

Bless those who curse you-Outrages!

Whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also-Crazy!

If you are sued in court and your shirt is taken from you, give your coat too-Nuts!

If a soldier demands you that you carry his gear for a mile, carry it two miles-Unheard of!

If anyone desires to be first, he shall be last of all and servant of all-Opposite Of What The World Teaches!

He who wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life

for Me will find it-Makes No Sense! (But All These Statements Are True And Life Changing?)

Number 3 Reason-Time To Repent

Maybe the people of Jericho will apologize for all the years they worshipped idols.

Maybe they will finally realize that there is only one true God, and HE is the One who should be worshipped!”

Maybe that’s why you are at that same job, or same church, or in that same marriage, or in the family that you are in, because God is giving them time to repent!

Maybe they are what you need in your life to break your will, your spirit so that you will repent and lean on God!

Verse 10-Be quiet

You know those people inside the wall by the third or four day had to screaming at them, jeering them, trash talking!

That sometimes is the hardest thing to do is to be quiet, not to retaliate, to hold our tongue.

The Battle is the Lord’s!
