Summary: who is the Holy Spirit - as we're living in a time of uncertainty about ebola, the mid-term elections, and the economy, who the Holy Spirit
Who is the Holy Spirit, as we're living in a time of uncertainty about the spread of ebola, the mid-term elections, and the economy, Who is the Holy Spirit, (first, second, third), He's:
1. The Comforter.
Who is the Holy Spirit, first, he's the Comforter, he's a Comforter in storms, he's a Comforter in sorrows, and he's a Comforter in all situations. In Jn 15:26, Christ says, "But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me." As we're living in a time of uncertainty about the spread of ebola, the mid-term elections, and the economy, who is the Holy Spirit, He's the Comforter, that's why in John 14:27, Christ say's, "Peace I leave with you, not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." Who is the Holy Spirit, he's the Comforter, in your storm, in your sorrow, and in your situation.
2. A Counselor.
Who is the Holy Spirit, second, he's a Counselor, in Jn 15:26, he's referred to as the "Spirit of truth". The Holy Spirit is a Counselor, a spirit of truth, in times of difficulties, in times when of making decision's, and in times when you don't know what to do. As we're living in a time of uncertainty about ebola, the mid-term elections, and the economy, remember the Holy Spirit is a counselor, the Spirit of truth. Christ say's in John 16:13, "Howbeit, when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide into all truth: for he not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come." Who is the Holy Spirit, he's your Counselor, the spirit of truth, as we're facing times of difficulties, decisions, and times of not knowing what to do, he will guide you into all truth.
3. A Constant Champion.
Who is the Holy Spirit, he's a Constant Champion, who is able to make the impossible - possible, who is able to move the unmoveable, and who is able to make a way where there seems to be no way, for it say's in Jn 15:26, "he shall testify of me." Who is the Holy Spirit, he's your constant champion in the times of uncertainty about ebola, the mid-terms elections, and the economy, for he's able to make the impossible - possible, he's able to move the unmovable, and he's able to make a way where there seems to be no way, for it's "not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith The Lord of hosts." (Zech 4:6) No Matter what your facing today, the Holy Spirit is able to help you through it, for he's your Constant Champion. Remember, he is able to make the impossible - possible, he's able to move the unmoveable, and he's able to make a way where there seem's to be no way!
Concl: As we conclude today, let's come down front for a time of prayer and praise, and no matter the storm, sorrow, situation, difficulty, decision, maybe your here and you don't know what to do, the Holy Spirit is able to help you today, let's lift our hand to him as we sing. . .
