“Who Cares”

1 Cor. 15:1-4

In these last days of complacency (people being satisfied with themselves) people think they don’t need anything or anybody. There is a notion that people aren’t ever going to have to stand before The Lord Jesus Christ and give an account. Therefore, their only hope, which is The Lord Jesus Christ, is never given a second thought. i.e. “Who Cares”. Who cares that Jesus Christ Died for all men, who cares that Jesus Christ was buried in a borrowed tomb, and who cares that Jesus Christ rose from the dead and gained the victory of hell, death and the grave. Who cares? There are three that care….3 things are thought to be more important: My Feelings, My Fight, My Fun

Every Christian can understand “Who Cares” by examining these three truths.

1) The Divine Care

1A) Because He (God) is The Father

Matthew 3:16-17 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

1B) Because He (Jesus) is The Flesh

1 Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

1C) Because He (The Holy Ghost) is The Fulfillment

John 14:16-17 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

2) The Devils Care

2A) Because They Believe

James 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

The difference between Belief and Faith is this Belief is knowledge and Faith is trust.

1 Corinthians 2:7-8 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

2B) Because They Burn

Jude 1:6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

2C) Because They’re Bitter

Revelation 9:1-5 And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit. And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit. And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads. And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man.

3) The Delivered Care

3A) He is Their Hope

1 Corinthians 15:16-20 For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins. Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished. If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. (But means Contrary and it is a Conjunction, a conjunction links statements in this case negative statements)

3B) He is Their Help

Psalms 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

3C) He is Their Heritage

Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

1 Peter 1:3-5 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Therefore, Every Christian can understand “Who Cares” by examining these three truths.

When you are down and depressed and think no one cares remember who really cares.
