WHO ARE YOU SERVING?
Text: Joshua 24:15
We have a dilemma in churches across America today.
It seems as if we have forgotten why we are here.
Church has become a status symbol. ( I go here)
Some come to see if someone else is there. ( What nerve)
Some come because they are drug there.
Some come and don’t even know why.
1 Kings 18:21 and Elijah came to all the people and said, ”How long halt ye between two opinions? If the Lord be God follow Him, but if Baal then follow him.” And the people answered him not a word.
It is time to make a decision.
As for me and my house we will serve the Lord.
That is a bold statement, and it is one that has been fought through this week.
It is a statement that cannot be spoken lightly.
But it is a statement that as a family we will make.
Exodus 32:26 Then Moses stood in the gate of the camp, and said, “ Who is on the Lord’s side? Let him come unto me.” And the sons of Levi gathered themselves together to him.
The same must be asked today. Who is on the Lord’s side? (draw a line)
Again this is a statement that cannot be made lightly.
Don’t make it if you don’t mean it!
If you do mean it we will look to the Word of God and answer the
