PSALMS 12:6-7 WHICH TRANSLATION OF THE BIBLE ARE WE TO USE? 2-19-11
There are so many translations of the Bible out there today and more on the way, how can we be certain which one is the True Word of God?
Ø Listen as I read today’s text found in;
PSALMS 12:6-7 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. 7Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.
Well we’re plainly told here that God will preserve His Word, He’ll see to it that His Word will always be availably, it can and will always be found, God will see to it, is what we find in our text,
--- thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.
God will always have people in all ages to stand up for His Word and be ready to expose the Devil in his attempts to destroy it, by trying to change it.
Satan hates Gods Word and is out to corrupt it. He begin away back in Gen.3:1 as he was talking with Eve, he tried to place a doubt in Eves mind about Gods Word when he ask her, in
Gen.3:1 -- Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
And then Satan contradicted Gods Word when he said in verse 4 -- Ye shall not surely die:
But God had already commanded Adam in chapter 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

I want to say right here that Eve was not yet created, so Adam had to have told her, its possible that Eve was not sure what God told Adam word for word, did Adam make it clear to Eve? Remember Adam was FORMED from the dust of the earth, and Eve was MADE from one of Adams ribs.
Gen.2: 21-22 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; 22And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
But Satan had placed doubt in her mind as to what God had said, he has had over 6000 years of dealing with man, its called the wiles of the Devil.
He has not changed in the least, that’s to say that his objective has not changed, he has conjured up different tactics but his goal is the same, and his ultimate objective is to damn as many souls to hell as he possible can, and so he’s always leading people to rewrite Gods Word, Satan knows what Gods Word says in
Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.--
2 Timothy 3:15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus-
So Satan knows that no one can be saved apart from the true Word of God, that’s the reason, his always having misinformed people to write a new version.
These phony Bibles are always changing Gods Word, if the rapture don’t take place soon, these phony versions will not even resemble Gods Word, it’ll be just a religious looking book, as they are today, Satan is subtle, he is the father of lies Jesus said in John 8:.

1 Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils. And we’re certainly there today.

As the old saying goes, “the Bible doesn’t need to be rewrote, it needs to be reread”.
There are both internal and external evidences that the OLD KING JAMES Bible is truly God’s Word.
The internal evidences are those things within the Bible that testify of its divine origin.
1. One of the first internal evidences that the Bible is truly God’s Word is seen in its unity. Even though it is really sixty-six individual books, written on three continents, in three different languages, over a period of approximately 1500 years, by more than 40 authors who came from many walks of life, the Bible remains one unified book from beginning to end and without contradiction. This unity is unique from all other books and is evidence of the divine origin of the words, which God moved men to record.
2 Peter 1:19-21 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: 20Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. 21For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
