When God is in it….

1 King 5:5"Behold, I (Solomon) intend to build a house for the name of the LORD my God, as the LORD spoke to David my father..”

I love to encourage ‘builders’ today! Hey, I’m not talking about construction business, whenever you start going to the next level, you become a builder! You may be concentrating on building the character of your kids, their education, your family, your health, your future, your skills, your spiritual life, your finances, new educational venture and so on; whatever, I am thrilled for you – keep moving forward.

Until you remain dormant, the world doesn’t bother you but the moment you decide to ‘build’ then all eyes turn on you. Are you listening? My advice today: a) God should be in it b) godly principles should be followed c) got to have determination to finish. Hurray!

God should be in it: Solomon knew that he is sitting on the throne of his father David because of God’s love for his father, such was the intimacy of God and David. Solomon knew that. (Does your children and family know about your prayer life and relationship with God?) Solomon knew for sure, he cannot move an inch without the grace of God, so when God asked ‘what do you want?’ he is quick to ask, ‘give me wisdom oh God.’ God gave Solomon not only wisdom but riches and honor too, someone needs to hear this today. When you humble yourself before God and invite Him into your life, business, college and everything, He is overjoyed to help you.

Godly principles: God clearly instructs Solomon, that this blessing was conditional, read: "Concerning this house which you are building, if you will walk in My statutes and execute My ordinances and keep all My commandments by walking in them, then I will carry out My word with you which I spoke to David your father.”(1 King 6:12) You cannot have success if you flout rules!

Hard work & Determination: It was no easy job to hire 30,000 men for labor force and allot work for them dexterously and handle them. 1 King 5:14”He sent them to Lebanon, 10,000 a month in relays; they were in Lebanon a month and two months at home.” Saw that? God with you doesn’t mean you go on vacation, you got to use the wisdom God gave you to shrewdly conduct your affairs.
