Summary: Jehovah El Shaddai is the Almighty God. He commands the hosts and armies of heaven. He fights for those who call him father. When he fights for you, victory is certain.
TEXT: Isaiah 29:5-6 (NLT)
“But suddenly, your ruthless enemies will be crushed like the finest of dust. Your many attackers will be driven away like chaff before the wind. Suddenly, in an instant, I, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, will act for you
with thunder and earthquake and great noise, with whirlwind and storm and consuming fire."
GOD IS MIGHTY IN BATTLE
Our God is awesome. He is mighty in battle. All power belongs to him. Some people fight for their gods, but for those who put their trust in Jesus Christ, the Almighty God fights for them. When God takes over your battles and begins to fight for you, "your ruthless enemies will be crushed like the finest of dust.
Your many attackers will be driven away like chaff before the wind..." (Isa 29:5). The Lord will arise on your behalf and fight for you in Jesus name.
HE FIGHTS WITH AWESOME WEAPONS
God's arsenal of warfare are wondrous. They are not carnal but mighty to the pulling down of strongholds of principalities, powers of darkness and spiritual wickedness in high places. When the forces of darkness array against God's children, the commander of heaven's army will arise with great power to anihilate his enemies. He will scatter them asunder (Ps 68:1). Hear what God says: "I, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, will act for you with thunder and earthquake and great noise, with whirlwind and storm and consuming fire" (Isa 29:6). The Lord will act on your behalf with all the weapons of heaven in Jesus name. He will pull down every strong hold of afflictions, delays and unfruitfulness in your life in Jesus name.
EXAMPLES OF GOD'S POWER IN BATTLE
God says he will act for you with a great noise as he did in Jericho. A great noise brought down the mighty wall of Jericho (Joshua 6:20). The siege on the city of Samaria that led to famine in the days of Elisha was lifted when the Syrian army heard a great noise and fled (2 King 7:6)."
Paul and Silas were delivered from prison when God acted on their behalf with a great earthquake. The prison doors opened and everyone's chain was loosed (Acts 16:25-26). The Israelites were delivered from the army of Pharaoh when God fought for them with whirlwind in the red sea. God fought for Lot by destroying the city of Sodom and Gomorrha with fire and brimstone (Gen 19:24). God will fight for you in Jesus name.
Do you want God to fight for you? Do you want him to take over your battles? You need to become born again by accepting Jesus as your Lord and Saviour.
PRAYER:
Father, I submit to you; please take over my battles and fight for me in Jesus name.
DECREE:
My God is a consuming fire.
God bless you. Shalom.
