POWER(:18e)
—Explanation:(:18e)Authority
“...To set free those who are oppressed;...”
“Set free/Set at liberty”—
“Oppressed/Bruised”—To crush or burden by abuse of power.
Thru either Shame, Weakness, Sin
1Pet. 2:4-8—“And coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected by men, but choice & precious in the sight of God, you also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. For this is contained in Scripture: “BEHOLD I LAY IN ZION A CHOICE STONE, A PRECIOUS CORNER stone, AND HE WHO BELIEVES IN HIM SHALL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.” This precious value, then, is for you who believe. But for those who disbelieve, “THE STONE WHICH THE BUILDERS REJECTED, THIS BECAME THE VERY CORNER stone,” &, “A STONE OF STUMBLING AND A ROCK OF OFFENSE”; for they stumble because they are disobedient to the word, & to this doom they were also appointed.”
—Argumentation:
Lk. 24:45-49—“Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures, & He said to them, “Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer & rise again from the dead the third day; & that repentance for forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in His name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem. “You are witnesses of these things.” And behold, I[Jesus] am sending forth the promise of My Father upon you[disciples]; but you are to stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high.”
Rom. 1:16—“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first & also to the Greek.”
1Cor. 2:4-5—“And my message & my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit & of power, that your faith should not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God.”
Php. 3:8-11—“More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, & count them but rubbish in order that I may gain Christ, & may be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own derived from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith, that I may know Him, & the power of His resurrection & the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death; in order that I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.”
2Tim. 1:7—“For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power & love & discipline.”
Acts 5:40-42—“And they took his[Gamaliel’s] advice; & after calling the apostles in, they flogged them & ordered them to speak no more in the name of Jesus, & then released them. So they went on their way from the presence of the Council, rejoicing that they had been considered worthy to suffer shame for His name. And every day, in the temple & from house to house, they kept right on teaching & preaching Jesus as the Christ.”

Dog over another/Hold down thru sheer power —Teeth—Size—Stamina
—Application:
?You traded the offense of God for the acceptance of men?
?You Forfeited God’s Offense?
?You Found Fault with God’s grace?

OPPORTUNITY / FAVOR(:19)
—Explanation:(:19)Grace
“To proclaim the favorable year of the LORD.”
“Favorable/Acceptable”—dektoV—Receive favorably
Visitation—Lk. 19:
“Year”—Extended time—Open window of opportunity
Grace—Give what is undeserved.
—Argumentation:
Jn. 12:46-48—““I have come as light into the world, that everyone who believes in Me may not remain in darkness. “And if anyone hears My sayings, & does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world. “He who rejects Me, & does not receive My sayings, has one who judges him; the word I spoke is what will judge him at the last day.”.
