What David did when he didn’t know what to do...
1. He worshiped (v. 1-3)
A. In his worship he blessed God (v. 1a)
B. In his worship he praised God (v. 1b)
C. In his worship he boasted in God (v. 2)
D. In his worship he magnified God (v. 3a)
E. In his worship he exalted God (v. 3b)
2. He sought God (v. 4-6)
A. As we seek God, he hears and answers (v. 4a, 6a)
B. As we seek God, he delivers us from our fear (v. 4b)
C. As we seek God, he makes us rejoice (v. 5)
D. As we seek God, he saves us from trouble (v. 6b)
3. He experienced God (v. 8)
"taste" (KJV) = experience
To experience God:
1) Find out where God is working
2) Join God in his work
4. He feared God (v. 7, 9-14)
Fear = to take God seriously
A. God protects us as we fear him (v. 7)
B. God fulfills us as we fear him (v. 9-12)
C. God sanctifies us as we fear him (v. 13-14)
5. He remembered that God was on his side (v. 15-22)
How we know God is on our side:
A. His eyes are upon us (v. 15a)
B. His ears are attentive (v. 15b, 17a)
C. He delivers us from trouble (v. 17b, 19-20)
D. He is near to us (v. 18)
E. He preserves us (v. 22)
