Summary: This is a short devotional to get people to realize that a person must relinquish control of things to God.

In Matthew 19:26 - Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” -Matthew 19:26

I read at least 3 devotionals each day to start my day. One of those daily devotionals that I read is from a book by Sarah Young entitled “Jesus Calling.” Some of you might be familiar with it. Each devotional is written as Jesus speaking straight to you for that day. It’s amazing how they help to get the day started in the right direction.

Here is one that I pulled at random that I want to read to you. All I want you to do is listen as if Jesus was sitting with you right now and speaking directly to you. Then I am hoping that you might want to share what Jesus has impressed upon you.

"Since I am infinite, 'impossibilities' are My specialty. I delight in them because they display My Glory so vividly. They also help you live the way I intended: in joyful, trusting dependence on Me. The next time you face an 'impossible' situation, turn to Me immediately with a hopeful heart."

Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” -Matthew 19:26

Jesus says, He intends for to live in joyful, trusting dependence on Him. Does that say anything to you?

Has there ever been a time you experienced something that seemed impossible for you to accomplish and Jesus provided a way for you?

Jesus tells us tonight that when we give the impossible to Him, he delights in it because it shows our trust in Him. It is also a delight for Jesus to handle the impossible because it is then that His glory is so vividly displayed. It is then that you know He is at work because it is only through Him that is can be accomplished.

Is there something in your life right now that seems impossible to you? Jesus is calling you to give it to Him. Let Him handle it. Trust Him for the miracle.
