What makes a house a home, money, material thing's, or momentary pleasures? What makes a house a home, (first, second, third):
1. Staying Christ-centered.
What makes a house a home, it's staying Christ-centered by letting Jesus be Lord in your heart, home, and habits. Many are choosing money, others are choosing material thing's, and some are choosing moments of pleasure on the week-ends. Remember the words of Joshua 24:15, "choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve,. . . But as for me and my house we will serve the Lord." What makes a house a home, it's staying Christ-centered.
2. Maintaining Charity.
What makes a house a home, it's maintaining charity with your family, friends, and fellowman. instead of being self-centered, critical, and complaining, learn to encourage others to be the best they can be everyday. Remember the words of Christ in Matthew 22:39, "You shall love thy neighbor as yourself." What makes a house a home, it's maintaining charity with you family, friends, and fellowman.
3. Being Committed.
What makes a house a home, it's being committed even in the storms, sorrows, and situations of life. I'm sure your committed to eating, I'm sure your committed to sleeping, and I'm sure your committed to thing's you like to do, it takes being committed to your companion, your children, and following Christ to make your house a home. Psalm 37:5 says, Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass." What does it take to make your house a home - BEING COMMITTED!
Concl: Anybody can have a house, but it takes Christ, charity, and being committed to make a home. How many will come and stand a the altar today to say, I'm going to make my house a home.
