Mt. 7:21-27 a wise man built his house upon the rock. The importance of a good foundation.
Its not enough to look as though you have a strong foundation. Any builder will tell you, that the most important part of the house, is building on a good foundation. Its not the color of wallpaper, or paint in the living room. Not the type of hardwood floors which determine the life of the house, but the strength of the foundation.
Its not enough to just look holy. Jesus told the Pharisees, they were as whited sepulcheres…Looks can kill. Car…table and chairs… God told Samuel about David, look not at his outward appearance, for God looks at the heart.
Jesus said, many will come and say haven’t we prophesied, cast out devils, works…
What a horrible thought. People will spend their whole lives trying to act like they have a relationship with God, and when its all over, He says depart from me……
The one thing that God wants with you more than anything else, is relationship. Not a big phony, but a true relationship. Hes not so much concerned about the way you look, as he is with the whats inside.
Song-My hope is built on nothing less, than Jesus blood and righteousness,
What are you built on tonight? Who are you living for? Is it to impress your neighbor, or your friend? Or is your life intently focused upon the will of God for your life. Its not by mistake or happenstance that you ended up here at this place. God had ordained this night from the beginning of the earth, he knew that each and every one of us would be here.
I know that God has plans bigger than anyone around you can see. You are not here because you just wanted to come and have fun, but this is a place of destiny at this church
.
God is raising up a generation of spirit filled saints, who do not care what people around them think, who are not impressed by mans philosophies, but are only concerned with doing the will of the Father. The wise man built his house upon the rock, despite what his neighbor did.
He did not care about the view at the beach, nor the beauty of the things of this world, but built his house on the rock, and when the storms came, and the winds blew, it did not fall.
If your life is built on peoples opinions, you will never have joy, or peace, but if your life is built on the word of God, you can never fail.. Gods word brings freedom. People will think that being saved is about what you can’t do, but its about what you can do!!!
Many will sit in church pews for years and years, broken up inside. Having issues with things that have happened in the past. Issues !!! don’t just patch the drywall if the foundation is cracked. There is nothing worse than sitting in a house that’s falling apart. It all begins with the foundation.
I would like to talk to someone tonight who has a destiny so big that you can not even share it with someone else. The thing that God has shown you, would look foolish to anyone else, who doesn’t understand that its from God.
Psalm. 127:1 Except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it. Except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.
If you are building out of selfish motives, the house that you are building will collapse. You may get the roof on, you may even move some of your things inside, but unless the Lord build the house, you are wasting your time.
The vision that you have, is not something that you’ve dreamed up. The ministry that the Lord has given unto you, is not something that just came to you by a good thought, God did not make a mistake when he called you.
If the dream, or vision is not from God it will fail. If the very foundation that you are building upon, does not have Jesus Christ at the center of it, it will be utterly destroyed.
If the business doesn’t have Christ at the center, it will go bankrupt. If your ministry doesn’t put more emphasis on God than on you, it will go nowhere.
Jesus said, I am the alpha and the omega, the beginning and the end. He said I am the author and finisher of your faith, In other words, if he is not the focus, then whatever your dreams are will turn into nightmares.
