WHAT’S UP GOD! Part 3

Let Go and Let God

Galatians 6:9 (NKJV) 9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.

Galatians 6:9 (Message) So let's not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good. At the right time we will harvest a good crop if we don't give up, or quit.

As we saw for last couple of week’s, that as we go through life, we all seem to come to those WHAT’S UP GOD moments.

Time’s where it seems like our prayers don't get answers. Time’s when it seem That God is nowhere to be found. Are you there God? Do you see what I’m going through and what’s happening here?

It seems like during those times that our faith is really tested. Let me say this, we can blame so many things but most of the time it’s just life.

Week #1.We looked at King Hezekiah, that even as a good king that brought great religious reform to Judah, he got hit with a sickness and was going to die. But we saw that as he turned to God, God was there and ready to heal him.

Week #2 We saw so clearly from the word of God that the bad things that come against us are not from our Father God, but from the curse that’s in this world and the devil. The earth is in a fallen state and until Jesus return’s there will always be stuff, But God wants to help us get through it.

1 Peter 5:8-9 (NKJV) Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 9 Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.

1 Peter 5:8 (AMP) Be well balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be vigilant and cautious at all times; for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [ in fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize upon and devour.

If we will remember this one truth, life will be so much better. God IS A GOOD FATHER!

(James 1:17 NKJV) Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.

This week I want you to see that many people in the Bible had STUFF, hit them in life, but let’s see how they ended up. Again, if I was to go through each one, we would be here till Jesus comes.

These men and women of God had to Let Go and Let God.

David at Ziklag

(1 Samuel 30:1-6 NKJV) Now it happened, when David and his men came to Ziklag, on the third day, that the Amalekites had invaded the South and Ziklag, attacked Ziklag and burned it with fire, 2 and had taken captive the women and those who were there, from small to great; they did not kill anyone, but carried them away and went their way. 3 So David and his men came to the city, and there it was, burned with fire; and their wives, their sons, and their daughters had been taken captive. 4 Then David and the people who were with him lifted up their voices and wept, until they had no more power to weep. 5 And David's two wives, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess, and Abigail the widow of Nabal the Carmelite, had been taken captive. 6 Now David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God

(1 Samuel 30:6 KJV) but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God.

So what did he do? He sought God and because he did, God said.

(1 Samuel 30:8 NKJV) So David inquired of the Lord, saying, “Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them?” And He answered him, “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all.”

(Psalms 45:7 NKJV) You love righteousness and hate wickedness;

Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You With the oil of gladness more than Your companions.

We need at times to oil ourselves so that when stuff comes against us, it slips right off. Spray Pam.

Again, what did David do. (1 Samuel 30:6 KJV) but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God.

Talk about waking up in the morning being bummed out and how I have to make a decision right there, will I rejoice in the Lord or start to have a Bummed out day.

Look at when When David was running from Absalom a man was cursing him as he went and look at what David said:
