Summary: Victory always comes as we trust God. We see throughout the Bible as people put their trust in God, God always came through.

WHAT’S UP GOD! Part 3

Let Go and Let God

Galatians 6:9 (NKJV) 9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.

Galatians 6:9 (Message) So let's not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good. At the right time we will harvest a good crop if we don't give up, or quit.

As we saw for last couple of week’s, that as we go through life, we all seem to come to those WHAT’S UP GOD moments.

Time’s where it seems like our prayers don't get answers. Time’s when it seem That God is nowhere to be found. Are you there God? Do you see what I’m going through and what’s happening here?

It seems like during those times that our faith is really tested. Let me say this, we can blame so many things but most of the time it’s just life.

Week #1.We looked at King Hezekiah, that even as a good king that brought great religious reform to Judah, he got hit with a sickness and was going to die. But we saw that as he turned to God, God was there and ready to heal him.

Week #2 We saw so clearly from the word of God that the bad things that come against us are not from our Father God, but from the curse that’s in this world and the devil. The earth is in a fallen state and until Jesus return’s there will always be stuff, But God wants to help us get through it.

1 Peter 5:8-9 (NKJV) Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 9 Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.

1 Peter 5:8 (AMP) Be well balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be vigilant and cautious at all times; for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [ in fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize upon and devour.

If we will remember this one truth, life will be so much better. God IS A GOOD FATHER!

(James 1:17 NKJV) Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.

This week I want you to see that many people in the Bible had STUFF, hit them in life, but let’s see how they ended up. Again, if I was to go through each one, we would be here till Jesus comes.

These men and women of God had to Let Go and Let God.

David at Ziklag

(1 Samuel 30:1-6 NKJV) Now it happened, when David and his men came to Ziklag, on the third day, that the Amalekites had invaded the South and Ziklag, attacked Ziklag and burned it with fire, 2 and had taken captive the women and those who were there, from small to great; they did not kill anyone, but carried them away and went their way. 3 So David and his men came to the city, and there it was, burned with fire; and their wives, their sons, and their daughters had been taken captive. 4 Then David and the people who were with him lifted up their voices and wept, until they had no more power to weep. 5 And David's two wives, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess, and Abigail the widow of Nabal the Carmelite, had been taken captive. 6 Now David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and his daughters. But David strengthened himself in the Lord his God

(1 Samuel 30:6 KJV) but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God.

So what did he do? He sought God and because he did, God said.

(1 Samuel 30:8 NKJV) So David inquired of the Lord, saying, “Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them?” And He answered him, “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all.”

(Psalms 45:7 NKJV) You love righteousness and hate wickedness;

Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You With the oil of gladness more than Your companions.

We need at times to oil ourselves so that when stuff comes against us, it slips right off. Spray Pam.

Again, what did David do. (1 Samuel 30:6 KJV) but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God.

Talk about waking up in the morning being bummed out and how I have to make a decision right there, will I rejoice in the Lord or start to have a Bummed out day.

Look at when When David was running from Absalom a man was cursing him as he went and look at what David said:

2 Samuel 16:12 (NLT) And perhaps the LORD will see that I am being wronged and will bless me because of these curses today.”

2 Samuel 16:12 (MSG) And who knows, maybe GOD will see the trouble I'm in today and exchange the curses for something good."

So even when were wronged, let not get vengeful, GOD WILL TAKE CARE OF US.

Numbers 24:10 (NKJV) Then Balak's anger was aroused against Balaam, and he struck his hands together; and Balak said to Balaam, "I called you to curse my enemies, and look, you have bountifully blessed them these three times!

In 2 Kings 2:23 a bunch of kids were making fun of Elisha, calling him baldy. And God took Elisha’s side.

2 great truth’s to this story.

Don’t make fun of bald people.

God will fight our battles.

Many of us have had and still do have people that make fun of us. Your so fat, you’ll never amount to anything. Your a loser. ETC. Let God fight your battles.

Remember, season’s will come and season’s will go, But God our Father will get us to the next good season of our lives.

God know’s what He made us to be and if will let Him, He will get us to the place to fulfill our destiny.

Look at David: His father didn’t even call him, when the prophet Samuel came to anoint one of Jesse’s son’s as kings. Yet God saw David out with the sheep.

Remember that God’s calling on our lives cannot be stopped by people.

David’s father disrespected David and so did his brother’s.

When he went to bring them some food, and he made that statement about Goliath.

1 Samuel 17:28 (NKJV) Now Eliab his oldest brother heard when he spoke to the men; and Eliab's anger was aroused against David, and he said, "Why did you come down here? And with whom have you left those few sheep in the wilderness? I know your pride and the insolence of your heart, for you have come down to see the battle."

Remember that God see’s the seed of greatness that He has place within us.

David refused to let the disrespect of his father or brothers hold him down.

When people say, NO! you can’t have that promotion, you haven’t been around long enough. God Say YES!

How about Joseph: His brother’s threw him in a pit, but God raised him to #2 of all of Egypt.

The mark of true maturity is not becoming critical of the people who criticize you, or put you down or even hurt you. Keep yourself well oiled and let it slip off. Look at what Joseph said to his brother’s.

Genesis 50:15-21 (NKJV) When Joseph's brothers saw that their father was dead, they said, "Perhaps Joseph will hate us, and may actually repay us for all the evil which we did to him." 16 So they sent messengers to Joseph, saying, "Before your father died he commanded, saying, 17 'Thus you shall say to Joseph: "I beg you, please forgive the trespass of your brothers and their sin; for they did evil to you." ' Now, please, forgive the trespass of the servants of the God of your father." And Joseph wept when they spoke to him. 18 Then his brothers also went and fell down before his face, and they said, "Behold, we are your servants." 19 Joseph said to them, "Do not be afraid, for am I in the place of God? 20 But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive. 21 Now therefore, do not be afraid; I will provide for you and your little ones." And he comforted them and spoke kindly to them.

How about Jesus: His own family didn’t believe in Him.

(Matthew 13:54-58 NKJV) When He had come to His own country, He taught them in their synagogue, so that they were astonished and said, “Where did this Man get this wisdom and these mighty works? 55 Is this not the carpenter's son? Is not His mother called Mary? And His brothers James, Joses, Simon, and Judas? 56 And His sisters, are they not all with us? Where then did this Man get all these things?” 57 So they were offended at Him. But Jesus said to them, “ A prophet is not without honor except in his own country and in his own house.” 58 Now He did not do many mighty works there because of their unbelief.

So what did Jesus do, He did what God told Him to do, and let God take care of the rest.

Here's what I've learned. The more success you have. The more opposition that'll come against you. The Bigger you are, the bigger the target.

Again, One of the greatest sign of maturity is that when you're criticize you don't criticize back.

How did Jesus handle it. He opened not His mouth.

If these people would've waited around for their brother’s or family members or co-workers, to approve of them, they would've never made his destiny

In closing remember what the scriptures say’s:

Romans 12:18 (NKJV) If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.

Romans 14:19 (NKJV) Therefore let us pursue the things which make for peace and the things by which one may edify another.
