Summary: God will open doors now and in the future to lead us to where he wants us.

WE SEE THE SEVEN DOORS OF HEAVEN

Psalms 14: 2 The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.

Most Christians today have more “downs” than “up” down in the mouth.

We are not winning souls to the Lord.

We need to get excited about being saved.

God has the downs so we can have the ups.

(1) The Lord looked down

Psalms 14: 2 The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.

He saw the depravity of a fallen people

He saw the high cost of death that stalks and plagues the earth.

He saw the destiny that awaits the lost soul.

(2) The Lord came down

John 3: 31 He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all.

32 And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony.

Jesus Christ came to reveal Gods love and mercy and purpose.

Jesus came to reaffirm God’s laws and precepts.

Jesus came to redeem God’s lost people.

(3) The Lord laid down

1st John 3: 16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

He stayed on the cross

He sacrificed his life as Lamb.

He satisfied God’s demands for our Salvation.

(4) The Lord sat down.

Hebrews 1: 1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,

2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

Hebrews 12: 1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

He finished the work of redemption

He fulfilled all God had sent him to do.

He furnishes the believer with power to serve

(5) The Lord reaches down.

Matthew 15: 22 And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.

He lifted us out of death into eternal life.

He led us out of defeats to victories

He loosed us from devilish vices to devotion to Christ

(6) He will be coming down.

1st Thessalonians 4: 13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

To raise his saints from the dead

To rapture the living saints

To reward the faithful saints

(7) The Lord will put down

Hebrews 2: 7 Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands:

8 Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.

He will put Satan in the bottomless pit

He will put sinners in their rightful place

He will place the saintly in a glorious paradice.
