We Must Try The Spirits To Be Sure

WE MUST TRY THE SPIRITS TO BE SURE

1st John 4: 1Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

Too many people do not try the spirits to be sure where they come from and what they are saying.

There are many spirits in this world today, we must be sure we are following is the right one.

(1) A lying spirit.

1st Kings 22: 21And there came forth a spirit, and stood before the LORD, and said, I will persuade him.

22And the LORD said unto him, Wherewith? And he said, I will go forth, and I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, Thou shalt persuade him, and prevail also: go forth, and do so.

(2) And evil spirit

Luke 7: 21And in that same hour he cured many of their infirmities and plagues, and of evil spirits; and unto many that were blind he gave sight.

(3) Unclean spirit

Matt.12: 43When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.

(4) Dumb spirit

Mark 9: 17And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb spirit;

(5) Spirit of a man

1st Cor.2: 11For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

(6) Spirit of python

Acts 16: 16And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying:

(7) Spirits many

Mark 5: 9And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many.
