Summary: I know my Lord lives.
We Have A Living Redeemer
Job 19: 25 For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:
26 And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:
(1) There is a need for a redeemer.
Psalms 49: 6 They that trust in their wealth, and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches;
7 None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him:
We need the redeemer in our world today.
No man can save you are me.
People today are trusting more in worldly things than God.
(2) God provided a Redeemer.
Isaiah 47: 4 As for our redeemer, the LORD of hosts is his name, the Holy One of Israel.
What is a redeemer?
A person who redeems you from something. <Dict>
God filled that need with his son.
(4) A redeemer procured.
Hebrews 9: 11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;
12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
Luke 2: 10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
(5) The redeemer is Exalted.
Revelation 5: 7 And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.
8 And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.
9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
