Summary: Dealing with our weaknesses before we are destroyed by them.

Watch Your Weakness

One weakness can destroy you. Your refusal to recognize it guarantees your destruction. Recognition of your dominant weakness can save you a thousand nights of tears, failure and devastation.

Things that begin small can become huge. Your weakness is a like a living organism within you. It is a force, silent and deadly, that moves your life toward destruction.

RO 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

PR 16:18 Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.

1CO 10:12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

The Apostle Paul fought against weakness in his life:

RO 7:15 I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do.

RO 7:16 And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good.

RO 7:17 As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me.

RO 7:18 I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out.

RO 7:19 For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do--this I keep on doing.

RO 7:20 Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.

RO 7:21 So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me.

RO 7:22 For in my inner being I delight in God’s law;

1. Your Heavenly Father is Aware of Your Personal Weakness.

PS 78:39 For he remembered that they were but flesh; a wind that passeth away, and cometh not again.

PS 103:14 For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.

2. Somebody Will Be Assigned By Hell to Feed and Strengthen Your Weakness.

JDG 16:4 And it came to pass afterward, that he loved a woman in the valley of Sorek, whose name was Delilah.

JDG 16:5 And the lords of the Philistines came up unto her, and said unto her, Entice him, and see wherein his great strength lieth, and by what means we may prevail against him, that we may bind him to afflict him: and we will give thee every one of us eleven hundred pieces of silver.

3. Your Weakness is the Entry Point for Demonic Spirits.

JN 13:26 Jesus answered, He it is, to whom I shall give a sop, when I have dipped it. And when he had dipped the sop, he gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon.

JN 13:27 And after the sop Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus unto him, That thou doest, do quickly.

4. Your Weakness Has an Agenda, A Plan to Take Over Your Life and Sabotage It.

JAS 1:14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

JAS 1:15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

5. Your Weakness Will Bond You With Wrong People.

Samson/Delilah; David/Bathsheba; Ahab/Jezebel

6. Your Weakness Can Emerge At Any Time In Your Life.

PS 71:9 Cast me not off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength faileth.

PS 71:10 For mine enemies speak against me; and they that lay wait for my soul take counsel together,

7. Your Weakness Cannot Be Overcome With Humanism, Human Philosophy, or Self-Willpower. But It Can With the Blood of Jesus.

HEB 10:19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,

HEB 13:12 Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood,…….

1PE 1:19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

1JN 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

REV 1:5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
