Wait On The Lord Series

Summary: When the Enemy begins to attack us we need to learn how to Wait On The Lord
the only one which was Isaac and go to a place he will send him to. The
story tells us that they went and when they got there after Abraham built
the altar he placed Isaac up there still waiting on the Lord and as he took
the knife to kill his son and then a voice from heaven he heard and told
him in the bushes there was a ram the story tells us that he sacrificed his
horn instead of his son because he trusted and waited God sent him a ram.
Just wait on the Lord can I go just a little further I want to call just one or 2
more so they can also witness about waiting on the Lord. Look at Daniel
when they threw him in the Lion’s Den I wasn’t there but they tell me in
you will find it in Daniel 6 beginning with the first verse but round about
the fifth verse we find that his co workers was jealous because of the way
he did things they started trying to find dirt on him and when they came to
the conclusion that they couldn’t find anything they decided to go to the
King y’all know the story and anyway King Darius signed the decree that
if anyone pray to anyone except him will be cast into the Lions den well
Daniel being one who didn’t have a closet religion and being one that
relied totally on the Lord they tell me that they threw Daniel into the Den
and all that night King Darius tossed and turned when we are out of the
will God will trouble our sleep how many of you know what I’m talking
about. They tell me that early the next morning the king got up and when
to the den and called on Daniel. Daniel answered and said I’m fine o king
because of my innocence God had favor. You see Daniel waited on the
Lord. He didn’t lose faith and he didn’t worry for he knows that his God
was able if only he waited. I’m trying to close this thing but it’s not easy
someone isn’t convinced that all they have to do is wait on the Lord. So
let me find someone else who waited on the Lord. You see I know y’all
think I’m going to call on Hannah or Job although they can give good
accounts about waiting on the Lord but I want to call on my buddy we find
in Joshua 6 how Joshua wanted to rebuild and restore Jericho but the only
thing blocking him is what is blocking most of us today. That was in his
case the Jericho wall. The story tells us that Joshua waited on the Lord
and indeed the Lord gave direct divine instructions after Joshua did exactly
what he was told the walls come down. I dare you to wait on the lord. I
dare you to trust him now the question was asked what will you be doing
when Jesus comes look at your neighbor and tell them I’m going to wait
on the Lord.
