Summary: When you give a lesson in MEANESS to a critter or a person, don’t be surprised if they learn their lesson. The same goes for the children of Israel as they discovered the truth behind the "Naughty figs.." let’s examine it together!

Introduction

What a contrast. I can hear Israel now, "We’ve been called many things, but, naughty figs, that takes the cake..."

Jeremiah was his name. Called tyo proclaim the message that Judah would be destroyed by a foe from the north. God promised that he would protect Jeremiah as he became known as, "The weeping prophet..."

Jeremiah became God’s voice during a most unhappy time. For forty-five years, Jeremiah predicted God’s hand on Judah but they would not listen.

The book of Jeremiah is not listed in Chronological order, however, the message remains the same. Jeremiah clung tenaciously to his message. It’s still can be heard today even as strange as it was then.
