Introduction: The Psalmist introduces us to a God who heard him cry from a dark and slimy pit. He encourages the reader to be faithful in prayers at all times and from all places.

I. He looked Up (verse 1 He prayed unto the Lord)

II. He was shut Up. (verse 2 He prayed from a slimy and dark pit with no way out and no one to help but God)

IV. He was set Up. (verse 2 God set his feet upon a rock)

V. He was help Up. (verse 2 on a rock)

VI. Tuned Up. (verse 3 God put a new song in his mouth)

VII. Filled Up (verse 3 a new song and praise)

Conclusion: No difficulty or trouble can hide from the all-seeing eyes and compassionate ears of God.
