Summary: Dear Christian, you were called to be united together and pray together, don’t be selfish and isolated.
Unity is strength
Judges 1: 1”Now it came about after the death of Joshua that the sons of Israel inquired of the LORD, saying, "Who shall go up first for us against the Canaanites, to fight against them?"
What would you do when you have none close by to check with, pray with, confide or a shoulder to cry? While working for a multinational bank, I was holding luncheon prayer cell until the day I resigned to join the Lord’s vineyard as a full time servant of God. One particular young man asked me,’ sister. Why did you leave us, now where do we go’ I told him to turn to God. Amen.
The people of Israel were in the same scenario in the above given verse, with Joshua and the other leaders dead, they were left alone with none but to call unto God. The above scripture says, the sons of Israel inquired of the Lord, who shall go first to fight? Bang came the reply – Judah! When you seek Him like gold and silver, then He will answer you.
Jeremiah 29: 12 'Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. 13 'You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.”
Don’t look for the best surgeon or the best lawyer when you are in crisis, look up from where your help comes. (Psalm 121:1) Hallelujah! Yesterday something weird happened in our Abide School, early morning around 7.45 am, a class 2 girl came early to school with her pointing finger tied with a cloth, she gave the name of a boy in her class and told me very clearly that he poked her finger with his sharp pencil. This little girl was a very good girl (so I thought) very smart, intelligent, first rank holder, darling of the school. Well, my husband and I got very worried and we went about enquiring about the incident. After several hours of wasting our time looking at the CCTV camera and questioning the teachers, she said, ‘ what I said was not true.’ Then the teachers told me that the little one was a habitual liar; however, I was totally confused and upset. I felt that the children need more prayers, I closed my office door and I started praying and calling unto the Lord. I prayed so long that I got exhausted in the evening, that’s exactly what we should do when confronted with trials and strange problems.
Judah looked at the enemies in front of him and said to Simeon his brother, "Come up with me into the territory allotted me, that we may fight against the Canaanites; and I in turn will go with you into the territory allotted you." So Simeon went with him. Wow, that was great strategy! Judah joined with his brother and both with one accord routed the enemies. When you join as a group with unity and harmony and pray for your community, God will do great things.

Martin Luther King, Jr. said it this way, "We must learn to live together as brothers or perish together as fools."
