Summary: Just as Jesus told the woman that there was some things that were not quite right with her mode of worship, the same goes for us today.

ETS: Jesus taught the woman at the well what TRUE worship was.
ESS: Jesus teaches us what TRUE worship was.

Probing Question: What do we need to do differently?

Transitional Sentence: Just as Jesus told the woman that there was some things that were not quite right with her mode of worship, the same goes for us today.
I. The first thing that needs to be different; we must know what we claim as truth.
A. God’s word is not a part of our lives as it should be.
1. How many do we have here today that read their bible daily?
2. We pick out what we like and we snuff what makes us feel uncomfortable.
B. We must read and study the Bible like everything depends on it, because it does.
II. The second thing that needs to be different; we must think about what we claim as truth.
A. To be an ignorant worshiper is to be a false worshiper.
B. Christianity is hope, but it is hope with a reason behind it.
III. The last thing that needs to be different; we must come in love to learn about what we claim as truth.
A. Too many times we come because we are afraid something bad will happen if we don’t. (Superstitious worshipers)
B. Christianity is not based on fear, but on the love of God.
1. In gratitude for what He has done for us.
2. In the desire of His for us to find life.
