Summary: TRAVAILING IN BIRTH
THE BENEFITS OF TRAVAILING IN BIRTH ISAIAH 66:1-14 The church giving birth to the lost is likened unto a woman giving birth to her child. Paul said: "my little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ befonned in you," (GaL 4:19) We must travail in giving birth to the lost, as a woman does in giving birth to her child. As soon as Zion "travailed," or had birth pains, she brought forth her children. (v8) I. THE PROCESS OF BIRTH. vl-9 THE PROCESS OF DISCOMFORT. v7 Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child. 1. There has never been a birth without pain! (Gen. 3:16 "Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thysorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children") 2. There has never been a person born into the kingdom of God that it didn t cost someone some pain, discomfort, and sorrow - through prayer, worry, and witness. (John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten son,") If we "travail" we will give birth.(Psalm. 126:3-6 "They that sow in tears shall reap in joy He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.")
