Tongues - A Language Of The Spirit In The Believer

Speaking in tongues is one of the great blessings of having the Holy Ghost at work in your life. The word "tongues" in Greek is "glossa" meaning a tongue, or a language used by a specific nation in distinction from others. In-other words "tongues" in the kingdom is our lingua.

We are a special people from another sphere of life. Jesus says "ye are not of the world..." (John 17:16). We have our origin from the work of redemption.

When Jesus was going through the tortures of the judgement of our sins. The scriptures declares "He shall see the travail of his soul and shall be satisfied..." (Isaiah 53:11). We are the reason for his satisfaction. His work birthed a people who God was their father and a nation whose righteousness is of Him.

The scriptures declares "but ye are come to mount Zion, the city of the living God..." (Hebrews 12:22). NOTICE:- it never said "we are going to mount Zion" but "we are come to mount Zion". That means we are already in it even right now. Always take note of the present tense of the scriptures.

The kingdom of God is not a physical location. It cannot be traced by a GPS. it is spiritual and it is here right now. The scriptures clarifies us. "Jesus, grilled by the pharisee on when they kingdom would come, answered, "the kingdom of God doesn't come by counting days in a calender. Nor when someone says 'look here' or 'there it is'. why, because God's kingdom is already among you." (Luke 17: 20-21)

In this kingdom there is a language, it is called "tongues" We interact with the Father and relate with the host of the heavenly with this language. It is our means of communication.

This language transcends the natural realm, It is an ability that comes with the Holy Ghost and it flows from our spirit. The scriptures declares "He that speaketh in an unkown tongue, speaketh not unto men, but unto God. For no man understandeth him. Howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries." (1 Cor. 14:2).

We are communicating "mysteries" meaning "divine truths that out-march human reasoning". It is beyond the sense realm, that is why men cannot understand what we are saying.

"Truths" are "Mysteries" and it is only the truth that you know that will make you free. (John 8:32). When you speak in tongues, you are releasing divine truths about your life in Christ that alters the course of events in this world that has to do with you and produce amazing miracles for your progress, increase and impact for the kingdom.

There is no apology whatsoever for anyone that does not accept speaking in tongues as part of the present day work of the Holy Ghost. You will only be missing out from all the glorious experiences and benefits that comes from it.

The scriptures declares "He that speaketh in tongues edifies himself" (1. Cor. 14:4). The Amplified Version puts it this way "...he edifies and improves himself..." Therefore when you speak in tongues you are improving yourself. The Greek Word for "edifies" is "embolden or build up as an edifice" That means you will so improve yourself that you become like an edifice, no one will deny that fact. You are improved. It will produce outstanding evidences in your life.

You can hear God talking back to you, when you speak in tongues. The scriptures declares "for with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people"(Isaiah 28:11-13). One day as I was praying in tongues, I heard God's word in my Spirit "You have gotten the Diversity Visa" Well the result was already out and my name was not among it, nevertheless I have heard from God, so i told my family members I have gotten the DV Visa, they were all laughing at me and my friends were mocking me and saying you must be day dreaming because the result is already out. Well after two weeks the same result was cancelled and another result was brought out with my name included.

It doesn't matter what is going on right now, or what the medical result has stated, if you will step up into the mysteries of God, it will change. I have seen a man who was diagnosed with Sickle Cell (SS) turned AA by the power of God. Anything is possible, if only you will believe.

Get up from that fear and doubt, lift your voice up and start declaring God's Word over your life, then burst forth in tongues and experience the supernatural power of God today.

Another time, I was out there in the spirit, singing in tongues and there was a member of my family rescued supernaturally from a fatal accident in the same moment and time as I was speaking in tongues and we were thousands of miles away, without any knowledge of what was happening in the Spirit. Someone took her sit in the car that was meant to take her home. She overheard the news on TV, the same car she missed, was the very one that exploded when a gas Semi Truck collided with it.
