Acts 2:1-4,14-17,21 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.14.But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all [ye] that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words: For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is [but] the third hour of the day. But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:21. And it shall come to pass, [that] whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Acts 2:38-42,46,47 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, [even] as many as the Lord our God shall call. And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation. Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added [unto them] about three thousand souls. And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers46.And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

I first want to say this morning that I am glad to be alive in yr. 2008.

Living for God today is the best time, easiest time and the most rewarding time ever in history of the Church.

I believe w/ all my heart that we are living in the "Rapture generation", when God is about to come back after the church.

It all started on the Day of Pentecost in 33AD, God’s NT church was formed and established with the outpouring of the HG.

We aren’t just another religion, or another church on the corner, but our local church was founded upon the doctrine of the original teachings of Jesus and the Apostles.

It started in Jerusalem almost 2,000 yrs ago and it’s still going strong today!!

-When Jesus returns, he’s going to find some born again, blood washed, HG filled saints of God still serving him like he asked us to do 2,000 yrs ago.

-I plan on being in that number when the roll is called up yonder and hope to see each and everyone of you on the other side of glory!

It’s our privilege to continue what God started a long time ago.

Acts 2:1-4And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance

I don’t want to mess up your theology but I don’t believe the Day of Pentecost was just a 24 hr. period.

Vs. 1 it says "when the DAY of Pentecost was fully come"

Everyone say "DAY"

Gk word for DAY is "Hemera" "a period of time; a period of opportunity for service; a period of undefined length marked by certain characteristics; a time of trail and testing; a time of salvation; an appointed time"

We are living today in the time period of Pentecost!

The HG is just as real today in 2008 as it was the 1st time Simon Peter spoke in tongues on the 1st day and gave the salvation message of Acts 2:38.

This is Pentecost!!!

This is the period of time that God has appointed:

-for this world to find salvation,

-opportunity for you and I to do service for
