Summary: The key in ministry may not be that people know that we have been to seminary; it may be that they know that we have been with Jesus.

Intro. In our text this morning, There is something that stands out concerning the disciples of Jesus. Unlike the world, people were not impressed with their titles, degrees or church affiliation. Observed they were refferred to as unlearned men. But what was it about them that stood out? Let’s be blessed by the words of the text:

I. THEY WERE PRAYER CONSCIOUS. (Chap. 3)

II. THEY WERE COMPASSIONATE TO THE NEEDY. (Chap. 3)

III. THE WERE CONVINCING IN THIER PREACHING. (VS 4)

IV. THEY WERE CONTROLLED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT. (VS 8)

V. THEY WERE COMMITTED TO THE NAME OF JESUS. (VS 12)

VI. THEIR CHARACTERISTICS WERE OBVIOUS. (VS 13)

VII. THEY WERE CONQUERORS IN THEIR METHODS. (VS 13)

VIII. THEY WERE COURAGOUS IN THEIR PREACHING. (VS 13)

IX. CAN FOLK TELL THAT YOU’VE BEEN WITH JESUS? (VS 13)

CONCLUSION: Oh that our family and friends could observe that we too have been with Jesus.
