THESE HANDS

Luke 24: 39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.

40And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and his feet.

The hands of Jesus were harmless undefiled diligent devoted determined delivering divinely guided. Hands that gave us a perfect example of Gods work on earth.

They were creative clean consecrated calloused calling us to service and salvation.

1. THEY WERE WORKING HANDS.

John 17:4 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do

Jesus heals Peters mother-in-law. Matt;8-14-15

Jesus heals blinded eyes Matt; 9 -29

Jesus raises Jairus daughter Luke 8: 54 -55

2. THEY WERE WELCOMED HANDS

Matt:14:31And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

Reached out to the sinking & despaired

Receiving hands able to save the uttermost.

Rewarding hands to those that serve him

3.THEY WERE WOUNDED HANDS.

Psalms 22:16 For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.

Zec.13:6And one shall say unto him, What are these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.

More damage is done in the name of religion

More damage done on the inside

More damage done by supposed to be friends --Judas

4.THEY ARE WITNESSING HANDS.

Luke24 :36And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.

37But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit.

38And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?

39Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.

40And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and his feet.

They witness the notorious curse of sin mans worst

They witness the nails of the cross.

They witness new life from the tomb

5 THEY WILL BE WRATHFUL HANDS.

Heb 10:31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Judgment day will come.

Judicial righteous rule

A day of joy peace and happiness will come for the saved.

6.THEY ARE WAITING HANDS

Isa.14:26 This is the purpose that is purposed upon the whole earth: and this is the hand that is stretched out upon all the nations.

27 For the LORD of hosts hath purposed, and who shall disannul it? and his hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it back?

His purpose is to forgive & save

Power unlimited in all circumstance

Protection is sufficient for all occasions

7.THEY ARE WONDERFUL HANDS

John 10 :28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

We are covered by his hands

We are comforted by his hands

We are completely in his hands

Who holds your hand today?
