THERMOMETERS VS THERMOSTATS?

By Wade Martin Hughes, Sr. Kyfingers@aol.com

I have a thermostat and a thermometer in my hands.

DO WE UNDERSTAND THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THERMOMETERS AND THEROSTATS?

THERMOMETER: instrument used to measure temperatures.

THERMOSTAT: to control temperature, an automatic device for regulating temperatures.

Thermometers are a dime a dozen, everyone seems to make the regular observation it is hot, cold?

THE CHURCH NEEDS PEOPLE THAT SPEAK LIFE…

Let us understand the difference between OR and AND!

AND means both powers are there…

Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

IF BOTH POWERS ARE THERE, THEN WE SPEAK OF CHOICES…

WE MAKE THE CHOICES TO HOLD OR RELEASE.

Are you a thermometer or a thermostat? What are you plugged into ….?

WHAT LANGUAGE DO YOU SPEAK?

Matthew 12:36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. 37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

Matthew 12:36 (MSG) Let me tell you something: Every one of these careless words is going to come back to haunt you. There will be a time of Reckoning. Words are powerful; take them seriously. 37 Words can be your salvation. Words can also be your damnation."

Be honest and hold yourself accountable. We need an honest evaluation of the language we speak?

Can we honestly say we are a POSITIVE PPERSON and SPEAK THE WORDS OF NEGATIVITY?

Negativity takes ownership and becomes HABITUAL AND THUS ADDICTIVE.

Proverbs 14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

Proverbs 14:12 (MSG) There's a way of life that looks harmless enough; look again—it leads straight to hell.

*DENY: TO REFUSE TO ACCEPPT OR ADMIT. TO BE NEGATIVE

*HABIUAL: to do something so regularly and repeatedly that it becomes the norm.

*ADDICTIVE: compulsive, have to have, to do strong and harmful things repetitively, brings pleasure.

*TOLERANCE: willingness to accept and do so often that the frequency and the amount has to increase.

*NEGATIVE MOUTHS will never stay the same, THE TOLERANCE LEVEL WILL ALWAYS INCREASE AND GROW.

Ever been fishing and LEARN YOU HAVE TO SET THE HOOK?

MY FRIENDS THE MOUTH WILL TELL.

REFUSE TO THINK NEGATIVE!

REFUSE TO LISTEN TO NEGATIVE WORDS AND NEGATIVE MOUTHS.

ABSOLUTELY REFUSE TO ALLOW YOUR MOUTH TO BECOME A DEATH TRAP.

As we learn the negative trap is deadly and costly we must think nothing negative, say nothing negative TO anyone then WE MUST LEARN TO NOT SPEAK NEGATIVE ABOUT ANYONE.

Matthew 12:34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.

Matthew 12:34 (MSG) "You have minds like a snake pit! How do you suppose what you say is worth anything when you are so foul-minded? It's your heart, not the dictionary, that gives meaning to your words.

Luke 6:45 (KJV) A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

Luke 6:45 (MSG) It's who you are, not what you say and do, that counts. Your true being brims over into true words and deeds.

CODENPENDENCY

Codependency is a psychological condition in which someone is in an unhealthy and unhappy relationship that involves living with and providing care for another person. One gives, the other takes. We need mutual respect.

CODENPENDENCY GREATEST TOOLS ARE MANIPULATION. One is dependent on the other. The other uses anger and control.

Dependency: IT IS MUCH EASIER TO DRINK WATER FROM OTHER’S WELLS, THAN IT IS TO DIG YOUR OWN WELL?

There can grow great danger when you become totally dependant on the kindness of a friend and never put forth any effort and INVEST LITTLE TO FAMILY GROWTH?

Proverbs 5:15 Drink waters out of thine own cistern, and running waters out of thine own well.

Proverbs 5:15 (MSG) Do you know the saying, "Drink from your own rain barrel, draw water from your own spring-fed well"?

CAN THE TONGUE LEAD US TO SIN?

LET US TAKE A QUICK LOOK AT WHAT WE CALL “THE SEVEN DEADLY SINS.

THESE MAY BE CALLED THE CAPITAL VICES, OR CARDINAL SINS…

James 4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

1. PRIDE

2. GREED

3. LUST

4. GLUTTONY Sin is birthed as a seed, desire of sex, power, money, selfishness, wrongful priorities, etc.

5. ENVY

6. WRATH

7. SLOTHFULNESS
