FINDING THERAPY IN PRAISE…

THIS IS A GOOD DAY TO HAVE A GOOD DAY.

Psalm 96:4 For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods.

THERE ARE A FEW REQUIREMENTS ABOUT PRAISE:

WE NEED TO APPROACH CHURCH IN PRAISE AND THANKSGIVING… ENTER INTO HIS COURTS WITH PRAISE…

Psalm 100:4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. 5 For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

PRAISE MUST COME FROM THE HEART. God is the one that is in control of all things, every knee shall bow…

Praise is expressing your feelings of thankfulness and honoring God for his faithfulness and goodness.

Psalm 150:1 Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. 2 Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness. 3 Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. 4 Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. 5 Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. 6 Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.

PRAISE INVITES THE PRESENCE OF GOD… GOD’S PRESENCE AND FAVOR IS FOUND IN PRAISE.

Psalm 22:3 But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.

*DEFINE THERAPY: treatment intended to relieve or heal mental or psychological disorders. REMEDIAL TREATMENT.

WE CAN FIND GREAT THERAPY IN PRAISING GOD. PRAISE SENDS GLOOM, DESPAIR, DEPRESSION AND PANIC ATTACKS FAR FROM OUR HEARTS AND HEADS. PRAISE IS A TOOL GOD CAN USE TO HELP HIS PEOPLE IN TROUBLED TIMES.

Psalm 34:1 I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

WE CAN FIND PRAISE BY COMMUNICATING WITH GOD. WE HAVE A DIRECT PRAYER LINE TO GOD.

Sometimes we must praise by faith. We do more than praise for what God has done… We can praise God for what he is going to do…

YOU CAN FIND PRAISE BY SINGING TO GOD… SINGING IN JOY…

Psalm 40:3 And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.

Psalm 100:2 Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.

Psalm 147:1 Praise ye the LORD: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is comely.

DID YOU KNOW YOU CAN PRAISE GOD WITH YOUR WORDS AND TESTIMONY?

Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Hebrews 13:15 By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.

We must know we are made overcomers by the power of our testimony and the blood of the lamb.

YOU CAN PRAISE GOD THROUGH MUSIC.

There is a false teaching that says because music is not mentioned in the New Testament it is wrong. Well driving a car is not mentioned in the New Testament, is it a sin?

Psalm 98:4 Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.

5 Sing unto the LORD with the harp; with the harp, and the voice of a psalm. 6 With trumpets and sound of cornet make a joyful noise before the LORD, the King.

WE CAN PRAISE GOD BY LIFTING OUR HANDS…

Psalm 134:1 Behold, bless ye the LORD, all ye servants of the LORD, which by night stand in the house of the LORD. 2 Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the LORD.

Psalm 28:2 Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto thee, when I lift up my hands toward thy holy oracle.

WE CAN PRAISE BY CLAPPING OUR HANDS…

Psalm 47:1 O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph. 2 For the LORD most high is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth.

PRAISE IS REMEMBERING THINGS GOD HAS ALREADY DONE FOR YOU.

Psalm 103:1 Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. 2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:

GOOD PRAISE ASCENDS EVEN IN THE MIDST OF THE STORM.
