There Is Nothing God Cannot Do

Summary: We serve a God who has never known defeat, failure, or impossibility. What men call impossible is simply an invitation for God to reveal His might.
THERE IS NOTHING GOD CANNOT DO

Main Text: Jeremiah 32:27
Supporting Texts: Luke 1:37, Matthew 19:26, Job 42:2, Genesis 18:14, Mark 10:27
INTRODUCTION:
We live in a world filled with limitations—limitations of strength, resources, knowledge, and time. But the God we serve is unlimited in power and ability. He is not bound by human laws or natural conditions. He asks in Jeremiah 32:27, “Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?”
The question is not a search for information but a challenge to our faith. Our God is the all-powerful One who speaks and it comes to pass. He turns impossibilities into testimonies and makes a way where there is none.
No matter what you are facing today, this message is a reminder that there is nothing God cannot do. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. If He did it before, He will do it again.
1. GOD HAS UNLIMITED POWER
Before the subpoints, we must understand that God's power knows no bounds. He created all things and upholds them by the word of His power.
a) He created the universe out of nothing
God spoke the entire universe into existence without using raw materials (Genesis 1:1–3).
b) He sustains all things effortlessly
Hebrews 1:3 tells us He upholds all things by His powerful word. The stars, the seas, and even your life are in His hands.
c) He can reverse the irreversible
Whether it's a dead womb, a terminal disease, or a closed door—nothing is beyond His reach.
d) His miracles are not limited by time or process
God does not need a long process to perform a miracle. He can do it suddenly (Isaiah 48:3).
Biblical Example: God parted the Red Sea for Israel to walk on dry ground, showing that nature must obey its Creator (Exodus 14:21–22).
2. GOD SPECIALISES IN IMPOSSIBILITIES
Our impossibilities are opportunities for God to reveal His greatness.
a) He does what man says is impossible
Luke 1:37 says, “For with God nothing shall be impossible.” Human impossibility is divine opportunity.
b) He turns hopeless situations around
When it seems too late for man, God steps in and shows He is never late.
c) He works beyond logic and science
His power is not confined to what is scientifically explainable.
d) He brings beauty out of ashes
He is the God who turns mourning into dancing and despair into joy.
Biblical Example: Sarah gave birth at 90 years old. What doctors deemed impossible, God made a reality (Genesis 21:1–2).
3. GOD IS FAITHFUL TO HIS WORD
Every promise from God is backed by His ability to fulfil it.
a) He cannot lie nor fail
Numbers 23:19 says He is not a man that He should lie. What He promises, He will do.
b) His word carries power to perform
Isaiah 55:11 shows that His word never returns void—it accomplishes its mission.
c) He watches over His word to fulfil it
Jeremiah 1:12 shows God is alert and ready to perform His promises.
d) Even when we are faithless, He remains faithful
2 Timothy 2:13 reassures us that His faithfulness does not depend on our faith.
Biblical Example: God promised Israel a land flowing with milk and honey, and despite their disobedience, He fulfilled it (Joshua 21:43–45).
4. GOD CAN USE ANY MEANS TO DO THE IMPOSSIBLE
God is not limited by methods—He uses anything and anyone to accomplish His purpose.
a) He uses the foolish things to confound the wise
1 Corinthians 1:27 shows God doesn’t need what we expect to work.
b) He uses enemies to bless His people
God made Pharaoh sponsor the Exodus by giving Israel gold and silver (Exodus 12:35–36).
c) He sends help from unexpected places
God used ravens to feed Elijah in the wilderness (1 Kings 17:4–6).
d) He uses weak vessels for mighty acts
God used David, a boy, to defeat Goliath, a seasoned warrior.
Biblical Example: God used five loaves and two fish to feed over five thousand people, showing His power to multiply the little (John 6:9–13).
5. GOD IS READY TO DO IT FOR YOU
The God of the Bible is not just powerful; He is personal and ready to show Himself in your life.
a) He is not partial—what He did for others, He can do for you
Acts 10:34 says God is no respecter of persons.
b) He responds to faith and expectation
Without faith it is impossible to please Him (Hebrews 11:6).
c) He moves when we trust Him absolutely
Those who believe see His glory (John 11:40).
d) He is nearer than you think
Call upon Him and He will answer (Jeremiah 33:3).
Biblical Example: The woman with the issue of blood received her miracle the moment she believed and touched Jesus (Mark 5:25–34).
