THREE THINGS GOD CANNOT DO!
God who has created all things, yet there are three things God cannot
do. Yet these 3 things show the power, the grace and love of God.
I. GOD CANNOT SIN!
A. 1 John 3:5 (KJV) And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
2 Cor 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin;
that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
1. JESUS DID NOT SIN BUT JESUS BECAME SIN FOR US.
a. Romans 6:23 (KJV) For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
b. Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
II. GOD CANNOT LIE!
Num 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of
man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he
not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it
good?
Titus 1:2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie,
promised before the world began;
A. WE CAN LIE BUT NOT GOD!
Romans 3:4 God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar;
1. Those who think it's permissible to tell white lies soon become color-blind.
.
III. GOD CANNOT CHANGE!
Mal 3:6 For I am the LORD, I change not;….
Heb 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and forever.
A. HE DOES THE SAME THINGS TODAY!
B. We can change but God cannot.
1. However God can change us.
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
2. HIS WORD is UNCHANGING!
a. Psalms 119:89 For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven
Everybody thinks of changing Humanity and Nobody thinks of changing Himself. Only Jesus can truly change us when we receive Him and He changes us on the inside. 2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV) Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
