I love Hebrews 11:36 -- trials/cruel mockings/scourgings/bonds/imprisonments/ stoned/ sawn asunder/ tempted/ slain with swords/ afflicted/ tormented/ lived in deserts and caves ---

Heb. 11:38 OF WHOM THE WORLD WAS NOT WORTHY. How are you thinking? You think you can? Nature does not require perfection, but growth is required for continued life.

Today I ponder how easy it is to make a mountain out of a molehill?

We can let our emotions play games with our heart?

Many carry a chip on their shoulder instead of a Cross?

Many are critics and grumblers instead of being doers and praisers?

Many are spectators and couch potatoes?

Proverbs 23:7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he...

I love this illustration:

There was an old man that took a nap everyday.

He had a mischievous grandson.

One day as the old man slept, his grandson got some

Limburger cheese. (Limburger cheese is a pungent

semisoft surface-ripened cheese.)

The grandfather had a long handlebar mustache.

So His grandson rubbed the Limburger cheese into his

grandfathers mustache.

Later the grandfather awoke, and said, my this

bedroom stinks.

So he went into the frontroom and sat in the

recliner.

After a few minutes, granddad said, my the

frontroom stinks.

He went into the kitchen to fix a sandwich, he

noticed the kitchen stank terrible.

So he went out on the front porch, he noticed the

pungent odor and stated even the frontporch stinks.

So he took a walk toward town, and grandfather made

a brilliant observation:

MY, I THINK THE WHOLE WORLD STINKS!

What a powerful illustration.

This illustration describes where many of us are in our daily walks?

Does the whole world stink? Or could we possibly be carrying a pungent odor of problems every step we take?

Problems, tears, pain, discouragement, depression, hindrances, obstacles lurk all around us.

We can offer a thousand excuses why we can’t do anything.

We can see all the hypocrites gathered around the church. Or we can arise to every situation and see the God of opportunities?

The option is up to you! How are you thinking?

Giving releases miracles.

(Luke 6:38)

If you don’t like what you are getting? ---

Change what you are giving.

We let our emotions dictate our feelings and our giving.

Many that will read this have constructed big dams that are barriers preventing the free flow of the Holy Spirit.

Sin, bad attitudes, and negative words restrain God’s plan.

While you cannot change many situations, GOD GAVE US THE ABILITY TO CHANGE OUR ATTITUDE AND THUS CHANGE THE SITUATION.

We cannot let the world change us!

We cannot expect God to change the whole world and us stay the same?

We need to either wash our mustaches or shave them off? As you think?

Phil. 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Do you believe that?

Should the weak say I am strong?

Should the broken homes head toward divorce?

Should the sick just lay down to die?

WHY CAN’T WE DEVELOP A VISION AND DREAM BIG?

I love this little poem, I don’t know the author.

AS A MAN THINKETH:

TODAY I WILL THINK LIKE A DYNAMIC SERVANT OF GOD, BECAUSE I AM WHAT I THINK.

I AM NOT WHAT I THINK I AM, I AM WHAT I THINK!

I AM NOT WHAT I EAT, I AM WHAT I THINK.

CLOTHES DO NOT MAKE A PERSON, I AM WHAT I THINK. THEREFFORE, I WILL KEEP MY THOUGHT PROCESS ACTIVE AND OPEN TO THE VOICE OF GOD!

How do you overcome a Spirit of Failure?

How can we surmount an inborn fear of inferior feelings?

How can we overwhelm doubt and worry?

We must grow and mature.

We need to develop a dream and a positive mental attitude.

We must change our "Thinking Patterns." Our faith must move us from fear to FAITH.

1) How many Bible characters appeared at some time to be a big failure?

Stephen, a great deacon and preacher’s helper.

Stephen took the load off the minister, so they

could pray and study.

Yet, as stones were flying and there was no divine

rescue, Stephen looked like a failure.

Yet, his vision was beyond the stones.

Samson, appeared a blind, sin destroyed individual,

yet Samson could see more blind than he did with

20/20 vision.

One preacher in jail, was released by an angel;

one preacher had an earthquake to release him.

John came out of jail head first.

Yet as John decreased, Jesus increased.

David was a terrible failure of sexual sin and

impurity.

Yet he wrote the masterpiece on repentance &

forgiveness, Psalms 51, and David is recorded a man

after God’s own heart!

Moses gave up position and the palace of Egypt,
