THE WAY TO SALVATION, BLESSING AND

PROPERITY!

In this sermon outline we look at the words of Jesus of He being the only

way to salvation and blessing and in John’s writings from his third epistle. It

helps us to reach out by faith to receive His teachings and builds our faith.

John 14:1-7 (KJV) 1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. 4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. 5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. 7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

3 John 1:2-4 (KJV) 2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. 3 For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth. 4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.

I. The Way is the Lord Jesus Christ.

A. Jesus is the only way. Acts 4:12 (KJV) Neither is there salvation in any

other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men,

whereby we must be saved.

B. There is no other way to heaven, all other paths no matter how wonderful

they look and sound will not lead you to heaven and blessings.

C. Some other ways or paths declare their good works or being a good person

with get them to heaven. Not what the Bible tells us in Ephesians 2:8-9

(KJV) 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of

yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

II. Jesus is not only the Way but He is the Truth.

A. Jesus is not just a ’truth’ He is the Truth.

1. Pilate asked John 18:38 (KJV) Pilate saith unto him, What is

truth? And when he had said this, he went out again unto the

Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all.

2. When you find Him, you will find Truth and there is not fault in

Him.

3. I have met thousands of believers in over 100 countries and

never had one say they were sorry they became a Christian.

However, I have met a lot of ’sorry’ looking or acting Christians.

B. The devil uses partial truth to deceive people about the real Truth, the

Lord Jesus. Story of the devil with partial truth. Once the Devil was

walking along with one of his cohorts. They saw a man ahead of them

pick up something shiny. "What did he find?" asked the cohort. "A piece

of the truth," the Devil replied. "Doesn’t it bother you that he found a

piece of the truth?" asked the cohort. No," said the Devil, "I will see to it

that he makes a religion out of it."

C. Men occasionally stumble over the truth, but most of them pick

themselves up and hurry off as if nothing happened. Winston Churchill.

III. He is also the LIFE! Not a life but The Life.

A. Not only is He the Life but the giver of life. John 14:19 (KJV) Yet a little

while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye

shall live also.

B. He came to give us life. John 10:10 (KJV) The thief cometh not, but for

to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life,

and that they might have it more abundantly.

C. Receiving Him gives us life. 1 John 5:12 (KJV) He that hath the Son hath

life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

IV. Finding the Way is also finding the Will of God.

A. The Way brings blessing according to 3 John 1:2 (KJV) Beloved, I wish

above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul

prospereth.

1. He wants to prosper us.

2. Provide health for us.

3. With the condition that our soul or spirit prospers.

4. This happens when we walk in the Way. Walking in
