Acts 7:44 - 53 The Tabernacle
1. The Divine Confrontation - John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
The Presence - 44 Our fathers had the tabernacle of witness
The Place - in the wilderness,
The Preeminence - as he had appointed
The Precision - speaking unto Moses, that he should make it according to the fashion that he had seen.
1. The Outer Court - The Complete Surrender of the Son of God
Demands The Complete Surrender to the Son of God.
At the front of the courtyard was the Bronze Altar - Salvation -
Heb 9:22 and without shedding of blood is no remission.
After the Bronze Altar the Basin/Laver - Sanctification -
John 15:3 Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
2. The Holy Place - The Complete Surrender of the Spirit of God -
Demands The Complete Surrender to the Spirit of God.
Separation - The Christian is distinct in four ways -
1. He Possesses the Spirit of God - Romans 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

2. He Prizes the Word of God - Job 23:12 Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips
I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.
The Bread of Life - The Table of Shewbread - (on the right)
12 loaves for 12 tribes - Renewed every day as the Manna.
3. He Pursues Communion with God - The Altar of Incense - (before the Veil) - His Prayer is
Scriptural - Ephesians 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation,
and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
Continual - 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit,
and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Practical - 19 and for me, that utterance may be given unto me,
that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel
4. He Praises the Commitment of God - The Rent Veil - Satisfaction - The Perfect Sacrifice -
Mark 15:37 Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the ghost.
38 and the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom.
3. The Holy of Holies (the Most Holy Place) - Celebration
The Complete Surrender of the Sovereignty of God
Demands The Complete Surrender to the Sovereignty of God.

The Promise of God - The Ark of the Covenant - 10 Commandments
The Provision of God - the pot of Manna
The Perception of God - Aaron's Rod that budded -
Romans 11:33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God!
how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!
The Purchase of God - The Blood Sprinkled Mercy Seat -
The Purity of God - The Cherubim - Isaiah 6:2 Above it stood the seraphims: each one had six wings; with twain he covered his face, and with twain he covered his feet, and with twain he did fly. 3 And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.
The Power of God -
4 And the posts of the door moved at the voice of him that cried, and the house was filled with smoke.
The Perfection of God - 44 Our fathers had the tabernacle of witness in the wilderness, as he had appointed, speaking unto Moses, that he should make it according to the fashion that he had seen.
2. The Divine Consolation
The Presence - 45 Which also our fathers that came after brought in
The Promise - with Jesus into the possession of the Gentiles,
The Purpose - whom God drave out before the face of our fathers, unto the days of David; -
