The Salvation Of God
Contributed by Dr.w.samuel Legon on Feb 1, 2019 (message contributor)
Summary: The author and cause of Gods salvation.
THE SALVATION OF GOD
Acts 28: 28 Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it.
What is true salvation?
Do know we have that salvation in our hearts?
You will see the truth in the message today.
(1) The author is Christ.
Hebrews 5: 9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;
(2) The cause of salvation is the cross.
Hebrews 2: 9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.
10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.
(3) The proclamation in the Gospel.
Ephesians 1: 11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
(4) The reception by faith.
Ephesians 2: 7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
(5) The assurance is the word.
Acts 13: 25 And as John fulfilled his course, he said, Whom think ye that I am? I am not he. But, behold, there cometh one after me, whose shoes of his feet I am not worthy to loose.
26 Men and brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, and whosoever among you feareth God, to you is the word of this salvation sent.
(6) Knowledge of our salvation the start.
Luke 1: 77 To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins,
(7) The joy of our salvation.
Psalms 9: 13 Have mercy upon me, O LORD; consider my trouble which I suffer of them that hate me, thou that liftest me up from the gates of death:
14 That I may shew forth all thy praise in the gates of the daughter of Zion: I will rejoice in thy salvation.
