- Independent of he Lord
- Turned away from the Lord
- Temple closed
- Light has gone out
- Worship neglected
- Experiencing God’s anger
- Destruction of lives
❷. Great Provision
- Brought back the priority - TEMPLE - 29:15-19
- 29:20-24 - Sin-offering speaks of guilt put away
- Burnt-offering declares acceptance with God.
- There was no message of hope and blessing to the people until the question of sin had been settled
- They meant business - Only one animal for each offering needed
- 29 32-33 70 bulls, 100 rams, 200 lambs, 600 oxen 3,000 sheep
- In he midst joy had returned 29:25-28

1. Some Mocked - v.10
- Messenger had to put up with the sneers
- They were doing the Kings business
2. Some Believed - v.11
- Meant Humbleness
- Implied a confession of their sins
- Turning away from their own wilful, wicked works
